Small Joys
Yesterday, Fireman and I popped over to Lake Michigan with our chairs for a bit. I didn't want to get all sandy, so we sat in the shady grass.
These are the BEST days in Chicago my friends.
Low 80s and no humidity.
I've been working on my baby blanket.
I can finally show it to you as it is finally growing.
Oh dear, I cannot find the pattern.
You cast on about 180 stitches and place a marker and cast on another 180 and place a marker. Then you knit and knit and knit and use up all your sock yarn leftovers. When you get to the marker, on one row you knit, the next you slip.
This makes the tube you are making lay flat on the edges.
The most difficult thing about this pattern is the way you have to choose colors that play nicely with one another.
LUCKILY, Kim D. sent me this color grid helper a few months ago.
It really helps me. KIM thanks!
- The bees love it.
- See it is not just grass clover...or maybe it is ...
- on steroids.
- What do you think?
So sock yarn and clover and the weather report.
That's all I have for you today!
Small joys!

I love your big clover with the tiny purple flowers!
So, the blanket is joined to knit in the round? A baby blanket made of fingering weight sounds like a big project!
Hugs,
