 Double knitting creates a reversible double thick layer of knitting.
Wise teacher Karen taught herself double knitting and is making this  adorable heart cowl.  I was kind of, #sort of, #not really,
getting it when I watched her yesterday.  
She says its easier than fair isle…
so let's add that to my list of techniques I want to learn.  I can fair isle, so I bet I can double knit.  
I also like double stuff oreos , and double mint gum,
so I'm pretty confident. 
This is the second time I've shown you my cabled hat.
There are 3 cables placed around the hat.  The top has a few stripes of the light blue alternating with the Cadet blue.  
It is clearly going to fit a Little boy just perfectly.
Going once going twice….gone.

Are you doubling up on anything today?

Double knit. Hmmmmm. I've considered it once or twice but have never tried it so I don't know, but I think I would rather do Fair Isle. It is beautiful though!

Today I'm doubling up on work. I usually only see clients on one day and do desk/computer work on another. Today I'm doing both. Wouldn't it be interesting if my work knitting was double knit!

I've been tempted to try a double-knit baby blanket, but haven't taken the plunge yet.

Double stuff Oreos are quite tasty as is Doublemint gum.

I've tried fair isle and like it okay. Not sure if I would ever need anything so heavy as double knit.

But, that red and white hat sure is pretty.

No doubling here although I did try 2 socks at once one time. Your cinnamon bread recipe is delish, thanks, and so easy to cut in half.

I doubled up on the cake. I was doubled over in agony after watching the women's hockey game this afternoon so only a double helping of cake would ease the pain.

I have wanted to learn double knitting for a while. I hadn't heard that it was easier than Fair Isle, which is awesome. I love Fair Isle, but I am very, very slow at it!

Ha, ha, ha. I love your confidence. If you love double mint gum and other "doubles," how tough could double knitting be? Should be a piece of cake!

I've not tried it, but I've done several Fair Isle pieces, which are fun to work on. I love seeing the progress of the color-work as I go along.

I want to learn to fair-isle. Go for the double-knit. But when you're ready. You know we are all about enjoying the knit :)

I love double knitting. Might need to do a whole hat that way; these windy cold snaps make me aware of the silly fact that my ears must be placed lower on my noggin than those of the average human. My hats generally leave the lobes exposed and that's not acceptable!!

I've doubled up on too much lately, but yesterday was a banner day for the history books. I just love being invited to a christening, and while I rarely cry at weddings, I mist up every time I renew my baptismal vows. Goof much!? Then, after a sweet reception, I raced over for the end of Dogwood Deals.

Today, I'm doubling up on rest and relaxation and doggy cuddles.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Insufficient Information

Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
