What I've Learned
I've learned the Watermelon Knitpicks is busy yarn.
I've learned from friend, expert Knitter, Karen-
that all needle sizers are not the same.
A ruler is a ruler is a ruler and and Inch is an inch.
However, a size 2 needle on a Boye needle scale is not
necessarily a size 2 needle on a Knitting Central needle scale.
Karen brought me her grandmother's plastic needles as a gift. Connie was her granny and she was a knitter. We were sizing them into groups...and found
A size 2 needle on one scale was a 3 on another....
and so on.
As Karen pointed out, what matters is gauge and that all your needles just have to be the same size when you are working on a project.
I've learned that a kitten who cannot see will fool you into thinking she can....
until she falls off the bed...
oops.
Happy Monday!

Yes, watermelon is busy yarn, but I love the look in socks. I find busy yarn helps keep me tuned into the knitting. Nothing worse than a plain sock knit with plain yarn.... YAWN.
Have a wonderful week, Kathy!
Susanne :)
You are so right--I have three needle sizers and none of them agree on size. Gauge is the thing.
Such a cute kitty!
Hugs to you and that sweet baby kitten.

I didn't realize there was so much of a difference in the rulers. I need to check mine.

And yes - I think it has to do with American and Imperial measures. When needles were in sizes. I think in metric when picking needles out. g
Really rulers are off too? Geez. I guess your quilt help would be safest..use the same rulers.
And rulers too!? I've wondered before...
Aren't animals amazingly adaptable??!
And wow, the watermelon sock yarn *is* very busy!
