In Theory....

I knitted a little bell last night. 
I was challenged by another blogger and I found a darling little pattern.  Karen, my teacher, told me about the pattern. 
Thanks Teach.  I think I'm going to knit some more and put them on packages at Christmas.  

Do you know about Cookie Walks?
The school where Zach teaches has a Holly Fair each year with a cookie walk.  You pay 10 dollars and you fill a bakery box with cookies.  The are homemade and there are tons to pick from.

I took the frosted cut out trees, and the thumbprint cookies, and the chocolate crinkles, and the butter ribbon cookies sprinkled with green and red,  snicker doodles, Pecan and Powdered sugar lumps and more.  Then I brought them home.  I ate one, I gave Fireman one and reserved one for Zach. Then I wrapped the box in electrical tape and put it in the freezer. 
In theory they will last until December 23rd.
In theory.  Its all or nothing really. 
If I don't touch the box my plan will work
but 
if I unwrap it even once...all bets are off.

We have cookie swaps. Each person brings X number of cookies and a clean plate/box. You take what appeals to you and leave with a box of assorted cookies. The hostess compiles a recipe list too...

I'm pretty sure the box of cookies would not last that long in my house; love those cookies. The cookie walk sounds like a huge success.

Where's the picture of the knitted bell??????

Electrical tape huh? Somehow I am fairly certain I could bypass it just to check and make sure the cookies did not suffer freezer burn, right? xx

Love the cookie tradition, and good luck on them lasting until Christmas. I know how that goes! Are you going to point us to a pattern on how to knit the little bell?

I, too, am looking forward to seeing the bell! Around here they call that a cookie exchange and they are usually closer to Christmas. I would think the temptation there would be tough and maybe store them in someone else's freezer? Of course,they still might disappear.......

That is a brilliant idea. My sister and her daughter in laws made Christmas cookies in July and then froze them. I ate the ones they gave me. I'm weak that way.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Insufficient Information

Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
