Hoops, Loops and Goop
This is the start of the new Cobweb Shawl.
Karen had a great idea for blocking the other shawlette that I finished. Apparently, our local Cleaners will block it for 5 dollars.
Done. Deal. I had no idea.
Pie needs to check out my new pink purse.
I'm teaching her a trick.
She's very motivated by bits of roasted chicken.
I'm teaching her to jump through a hoop.
So far it is ridiculously easy….
I promise there will be pictures soon...
Finally, its Irish Soda Bread time.
I was late with my baking this year.
I was gifted several loaves of soda bread from a dear Irish friend.
However, she uses no caraway and as you know from previous years, we love caraway in our soda bread. When my soda bread is oven ready, it looks like goop. That's how I know it is wet enough.
Let the Ncaa games begin. #swoosh.
Who are you rooting for?
Oh
and Happy SPRING!!!
We did it.
We survived.
The long winter of 2013 is over.
Done.
Stick a fork in it and all that….

Spring to me means getting the garden ready. I ordered seeds yesterday and I can't wait to start my seedlings. Last year the garden was not successful but I have high hopes for a beautiful garden this year.

Also, I got my cleaners to sew a fleece backing onto my son's Stockinette blanket a few years back. It was more than a blocking, but for a woman without a sewing machine or the ability to sew, totally worth it.
Pie is jumping through a hoop? Awesome...and I hope to see the pictures.
I do not know any of the NCAA teams... so, I don't watch but a game or two at the end...the big dance.
Yeah...it's Spring...bring on the green!
My brackets are already bust, I;m afraid. Day one was not a good one for me.
I just watched a You Tube video about a troop of acrobat cats and their trainer. It was hilarious. I had no idea cats were so trainable.
LOVE that yarn you are using in the cobweb shawl. A cleaner that blocks! Wow! That is an amazing treat.
Yum on the Irish Soda Bread! Is your recipe on your blog? Have a wonderful SPRING weekend! blessings ~ tanna
Love Irish soda bread...Irish stew, Irish....oh sorry, got off in dream land there...love your bread!
Ohhhh the shawl is looking pretty. I am looking forward to seeing your progress on it.
Wishing you a most lovely day.
I made Nigella's soda bread buns. Even though many of the convicts were political prisoners from Ireland, and most every Anglo-Celt I know has soem Irish blood, it's not really a big day here. There is some wearing of the green and the Irish pubs have Guinness all day long but no-one dyes a river, or even a creek!!
