Would you be able to grow these lilies like my neighbor has?

Would you believe I am still knitting lace? My lace scarf is soothing, light and a delight.

Would you attempt to knit a pattern up in a different language? Ravelry has a blu cardigan di elen a l.tiff that really interests me.....

Now knowing how difficult it is for me to follow a pattern in ENGLISH, I think I'd best try to find a comparable, don't you? I've never even cooked using a pattern in a different language.

I was at a dinner party with neighbors and Fireman the other day. The guests were from Israel and were delightful. The husband spoke some English, the wife very little. The thing was she smiled so much and was so deeply interested understanding that, the little charades we worked out filled the gap.
She was so excited to see fireflies in our yard.......
And we spoke a common language afterall, she has a love of cats. Imagine her delight when I showed her Pippa's six kittens in my house....

Heh... One of my New Zealand cousins married a... native. (Aboriginal?) As a result his accent is MUCH heavier/different, and literally, he and the Knight cannot carry on a conversation unless one of us is there to "translate". It's funny though, because he's a builder so they have so much to talk about.

The deer ate all of my lilies. AGAIN.

Your lace scarf is beautiful! I did knit a French pattern once (working with only high school French)and I didn't think I had too much trouble with it but the resulting shawl didn't look like the picture so maybe I wasn't understanding it as well as I thought.

I could never grow those lilies. I can't grow anything except weeds!! I'm good with weeds.

Wahhhhh why can't I see all of your pictures, I see the lilies but no scarf I did grow a lily like that at my last house, it smelled so heavenly.

The lilies are lovely.

Isn't it funny about people --- doesn't matter who or where --- we have more commonalities than differences. Kittens could bring the whole world together in peace. Maybe that's what we need to do --- give every world leader a kitten.

I love Stargazers and other Asiatic lilies. We grow them in several colors each year. I think that there are some of the most beautiful flowers I've every seen.

It's funny that you called it a pattern instead of a recipe. There must be a whole lot of knitting going on at your house.

Ravelry has a forum devoted to pattern translation if you are on there and need some help.

Beautiful lillies! No I wouldn't be able to grow them here. It is so darn hot the lantana has died and it is a hot weather plant.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
