I love the nupps in this shawl. I can see the pattern so beautifully this way. I have never seen a lace shawl knitted this way. Bev from Fiberitis took this shot of it . For more info go to her FIBERITIS blog. It is a lovely blog anyhow.

Is this accepted by lace knitters? I love that there is no negative space. I usually am squinting at lace patterns to see what they are really trying to depict. I want a shawl like this one. I dont want to make it though!

I don't like things that are difficult for me to see. Constellation names seem so wrong to me. I cannot for the life of me see some of the animals that are supposed to be in the sky. I know that some of them have lost stars and that makes it more difficult.

Beautiful. I have a shawl of a similar style/pattern in my queue (or favorites?) and even took at class on Estonian lace...

Beautiful shawl! The two things I don't do in knitting are nupps and shortrows. Life is too short for that kind of stress. I have major appreciation and praise for knitters like Channon who take classes in Estonian lace.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
