So No one likes Group Work
Big big thanks to all my flawed friends who hate group work.
Thrilled I'm not alone.
So if we all detest it, why do schools insist on it?
I think the folks who like group work are the ones in the group who let the rest of us do the work.
I think I could write an article on the value and importance of solitary work!
Can you imagine all of us knitting a hat together?
Pass the needles, put your own colors in, change the pattern.
It would be disastrous.
Speaking of, my appetizers were a complete bomb last night.
I thought they were amazing.
Crackers with fig jam and brie.
Interesting taste and savory.
No one tried one...
here's to chips and dip I guess!
Retired nurse pals Anne and Sandy had dinner with us last night. Anne is crocheting and explained her elaborate pattern for argyle crochet. I didnt understand it. Maybe it was the Skinny Girl Margerita listening....
but it struck me as fair isle crochet in a way.
Took her 6 tries, but its beautiful eh?
Happy Weekend Bloggy Pals.
Love you all.

I love those fancy intarsia or fair isle knitting, but I KNOW I would never DO them. Much too fuzzy for this fuzzled brain.
Blessings,
Betsy
That crochet is amazing but it gives me a headache just thinking about it.
Hugs,
Meredith
Let me chip in on group work. I hate it! We are doing a group project in one of my classes at school, and a girl completely flipped out this past week. Called me a "Bitch Ho!" when I asked her to put her phone away. Security had to call for back up to get her out. She ended up screaming at the whole class before security got her out of the room.
Group work is rarely successful because it's so frustrating for the more advanced students to stop and wait for others. It's a nightmare for teachers to stand back and watch the group dynamics, but the standards require group collaboration, soooo. . .
