What I'm Reading, thinking of knitting and cooking today..
- A great read. Thank you Allison for this portrait book.
- I'm thinking of knitting this cardigan....just thinking on it.
- I found a vest that I loved on someone's blog yesterday. She said it was a test knit. The post was two years old. She isn't blogging anymore. I wrote her a letter asking for the pattern.Fingers crossed.
4. This is a new recent picture of Pippa. She is still available for adoption 3 years later...
Pippa needs a great cat momma. So many of the staff have bonded to her. She just does not sell herself when adopters arrive.
She's still a bit sassy.
5. I'm making homemade applesauce for a friend who had a cycling accident in July. She is a healthy person. She lost 7 teeth, broke her nose and had 140 stitches in her face. She still cannot chew. I just put a mix of good apples in the crockpot all day and cook it down. Super simple. I can't wait to deliver it to her later. 6. Are you reading? knitting? Cooking today?

If this fall weather holds, I might make a Japanese curry this weekend ... I mean if it doesn't interfere with knitting ;)
Hugs,

Crocheting dish cloths... much faster than knitting for me, and these will be gifts for December. Cooking hubby a birthday meal of crab and shrimp stew... my house smells wonderful with that simmering on the stove! Reading... just finished Jan Karon's latest Mitford book, "Someplace Safe With Somebody Good". LOVED it!
Pippa looks like our Hoover. I'm sure that's why she got dumped off. She's a sassy girl too.
Your friend is going to love the homemade applesauce.
Current knitting projects are two pair of socks and a cowl.
Poppa is a sweetie. I hope she finds a family soon.
Pippa is beautiful. I hope she finds her forever home soon.
Pippa would have been right up my alley before cat allergies! I love sassy animals.
Love that cardi too. I'm hoping you're going to somehow kick me back into knitting gear!
I'm reading Eye of Heaven by Clive Cussler, still knitting on the last 6 inches of the sweater body, and cooking Mexican rice for dinner.
