Warm thoughts for a Blizzard Warning

Here is my Seaman's scarf about half way done. I am using Weaver's Wool Quarters, from Mountain Colors in : silverbow. I am using a faux cable pattern for the body. The neck is a simple 2x2 rib. I love how the faux cable is breaking up any pooling. (Sorry dear Katherine, not all pooling do I like.....) The pastels are nice on this wintry day.

Here are a few other warm thoughts for you on this Chicago Blizzrd warning day:

If you want to watch a hummingbird father taking great care of his chicks, go to
phoebeallens.com. A live webcam shows this ruby throated hummer raising the little
tiny birds.

It is Febrauary 1st already. What with all the blizzard hoopla, when I heard the air raid sirens go off this morning, I'd forgotten it was the first tuesday of the month and wondered, for a nanosecond, if we were having a tornado with the blizzard! How did you like that run on
sentence?

I bought some stemless wine glasses last week. Here's to my breaking fewer glasses.....
why didn't someone think of these sooner? I love them.

I used my AARP membership card for the first time last week. Fifty is nifty...

I have a new dentist. He doesn't use a drill! He uses a laser for fillings......

would you like to add to the post. A warm thought? Can you start it with the letter I?

I talk more in the comments!

Wonderful gratitudes! Pray for my sleep. It is really bad and I cannot start using the mild muscle relaxer/sleep aid until next Tuesday.

Nothing is moving in Texas due to 2 inches of snow. I know that sounds funny but things get serious when it snows in Texas! Anyway, I'm grateful for a snow day!! I hope you are out from under the white stuff soon.

Stemless wine glasses? You never cease to amaze me. I must find them!!

I am watching the birds try to fly to my feeders in the blizzard - makes me cold just to look at them! What weather Chicago is getting!
