Monday World Series Q and A
Good Morning!
1
?What is your favorite fabric to wear?
(mine: cotton, flannel is a favorite)
2
Who woke you up this morning?
(Miss Pie. She got through the gate . It has taken her 8 weeks to figure this out. She jumped triumphantly on the bed and began meowing and rollling and celebrating)
3
Last time you had to turn off the announcers and turn on the radio for a sports event?
(I know many of you don't do the sports thing. Joe Buck drives me crazy if you know baseball. I turn him off and listen to Chicago Cubs radio announcers. Plus the feed is ahead, so Im not as nervous)
4
Last fast food item you ate?
(Starbucks frappacino light)
5
Last item you had knit regrets about?
(I have never worn my Skydive Stole. It is so pretty, but,
it itches me. What should I do with it? )
6
Last time a family member said to you,
"When are you going to finish that thing?"
(recently. Fireman saw me car knitting the never ending sock yarn blanket. I COULD finish it right now. But it is not big enough for my liking yet. )
7
Are you still working on a New years Resolution?
(I am . Boundaries. Always working on the Boundaries.
I did set a boundary this week: I will be home for the WORLD SERIES. Plans changed. Sorry if I disappointed . I know it is just a game. But it is so much more really. It is about endless hope and optimism.
Look at this as my chance to keep my New Years Resolution friends.
8
Last great amatuer photo you saw?
(Teresa your fog photos last week were amazing.
Zach your photos on FB in Mexico's Canyon with your friends made my heart soar this weekend. )
9
Do you feed the birds?
(I do. :) Sunflower seeds . But not every day. )
10
Do you know someone who is an organ donor recipient or donor?
(Yes! My mom's pal got a heart transplant and did wonderfully!)
Comments
1. My favorite fabric is silk. I have quite a few silk blouses/shirts because I love the feel of silk against my skin. Never had silk sheets though. I wonder why.
2. Macy woke me this morning at 6:00. She wanted me to know that Max needed to go out.
3. I watch baseball and golf but don't listen to it. Sometimes I even listen to an audiobook during the games.
4. Chick-fil-a chicken sandwich, no fries and 1/2 of a chocolate shake.
5. I am sorry I ever made that gray shrug sweater. It doesn't fit right so I use it to cover a shirt in my closet.
6. Only when I'm working on a long scarf or afghan. Generally I'm a "finish" freak. It's that slight OCD thing I have going.
7. I don't usually make New Years resolutions. I always disappoint myself.
8. Son Adam's soaring eagle.
9. Always feed the birds. Year round! Also feed Macy and Max's squirrel.
10. Our dear family member with cancer will get a bone marrow transplant in December to keep her lymphoma in remission. We are so thankful for all the prayers and good wishes. After a really bad start she has done extremely well!!
2. Hoover the kitty. At 4 am to go out. He only comes in to sleep on cold nights but he's ready to go defend his territory bright and early. I've been up since then. :(
3. Any Olympic coverage. NBC ruins it. I don't turn on the radio but I live stream it instead. Those announcers know when to shut up.
4. Pancakes at McDonald's in Detroit. They were goooooood.
5. My handspun vest that took me years. It itches like crazy.
6. Everyday. The house is filled with scenery and costumes. The Mister is not amused.
7. I didn't make any because I have NO self control anymore. At my age, why bother.
8. Your flower photos make me want to weep with envy. Valerie's too. I can't take a good plant photo to save my life.
9. Outside kitties would make quick work of birds that land around here but I do feed my big fat African Gray parrot. Her food is sooo expensive.
10. We all are but I have a love/hate thing going with that organization. Daughter used to work for them here in DC as an event planner and when she told me how much they spend on conventions three times a year it shocked me. I wrote to every congressman to complain. I even wrote Oprah. I know people who can't get on the list because they can't afford the aftercare drugs and they are spending millions and millions to take hundreds of doctors to Napa or other pricey resorts to play golf for a week, three times a year. Doctors, who can afford to take themselves to Napa. It's sinful.
What is your favorite fabric to wear?
I love a nice soft jersey knit

Who woke you up this morning?
Sadly, my weird dreams and my full bladder. Some mornings it’s Rupert crying, but thankfully, he hasn’t made that a habit. *yet*
3
Last time you had to turn off the announcers and turn on the radio for a sports event?
No sports for me – but when I’m listening to the radio, I frequently change the channel when an announcer or commercial comes on – I want MUSIC!
4
Last fast food item you ate?
Lemon chicken from the cafeteria at work.
5
Last item you had knit regrets about?
Hmmmm… I usually frog before I get to the regret part. But I don’t wear my shawls as much as I should. I guess the last real downer was the orange cardigan I made that didn’t fit.
6
Last time a family member said to you,
"When are you going to finish that thing?"
Dave is the only one who really pays attention to my knitting – and he BARELY pays attention to it. Usually it’s more of “how long did that take you” because he had no idea when I started.
7
Are you still working on a New years Resolution?
No resolutions for me. Sometimes I set knitting goals – I’m thinking this year my be “design more”
8
Last great amatuer photo you saw?
My friend Natalie’s gorgeous pics of her Ireland trip.
9
Do you feed the birds?
Yep – only over the winter now (they wreck the garden otherwise). I should pick up a bag of seed soon.
10
Do you know someone who is an organ donor recipient or donor?
Not one who’s officially gone through with it. Here in Ontario we have an organ donor registry and I know friends and family who are on it (I myself am as well)

3. Last time you had to turn off the announcers and turn on the radio for a sports event? NEVER

4. Last fast food item you ate? Hubby brought me home a diet Coke from McDonalds. Does that count as food?
5. Last item you had knit regrets about? Slipper socks that are too slippery to wear around the house without falling.
6. Last time a family member said to you, "When are you going to finish that thing?" Never that I remember. I finish things fairly quickly except my ongoing sock blanket.
7. Are you still working on a New years Resolution? Nope. I don't even make them because I never kept them when I did.
8. Last great amateur photo you saw? Some rose photos on a blog today. Gorgeous
9. Do you feed the birds? I used to but Hubby made me stop because of all the bird droppings. He doesn't like bird messes at all.
10. Do you know someone who is an organ donor recipient or donor? Yes, three people. My brother-in-law got a liver transplant about 15 years ago. My nephew has a kidney transplant and a lady who works for my Hubby also had a liver transplant. All are doing well, praise God!
Blessings,
Betsy
2. My alarm clock which is too damn loud; it has an automatic volume setting.
3. Never had as I love our Giants announcers.
4. Lays Sour Cream 'n Onion
5. None although I barely wear my Hitchhiker and my Rococo Shawl.
6. Husband always eyes my plate when he's done eating his.
7. I give up on those because I walsy set myself up for failure.
8. I see plenty of them on IG, especially the sun rise or sunset ones.
9. No; not really a fan of birds in particular although I have though about putting feeders in our yard but I'm scared of the poop and we have aggressive squirrels here.
10. No but in doing something selfless using one's body...one of my besties carried her fraternal twin's sister's (and brother-in-law's) fertilized embryo for her to term.
