Happy HALLOWEEN Q and A

photo take from WGN TV website (For non Cub fans these kids are former  announcer Harry Carey )

*Tricks!  Many tricks last night at the Cubs World Series game.
Did you see the catcher Ross catch and drop a foul pop up only to have Rizzo catch it before it hit the ground?
(Of course I did.  Thanks for all the good karma, bloggy pals. Last night was just so crazy for Cub fans......We are still in this!)

*Are you planning to have a Halloween Candy today?

(No but I'm stopping at the apple orchard and I may buy a cookie for my TREAT or a carmel apple)
*Would you knit an accessory for your pumpkin.  No judgement I promise!
(Um No. But these are adorable)
 Did you carve a pumpkin?
(You see I did!  I cleaned up the vomit like a good nurse and my pumpkin just smiled thereafter.  Fireman and I will enjoy the pumpkins more tonight.  I love a lit jackolantern even if we dont get a single country trick or treater!)

 * I finished my third Pekpeka Seventh Hat.  The big blue one is for me!  Knit with Zara.  How many hats to you have to wear this winter?
(I think I have 4 hats and 3 headbands and one beloved Babushka)
*Did you knit during the World Series game last night?
( I actually did!  I only dropped 4 stitches during the 4th inning rally.  The poor cats. Fireman and I go from nailbiting silence to cannot help ourselves screams of joy with every Cub hit and run)

*Do you have a knit plan for the week?
(Yes!  I picked up my fingerless in process and plan to finish them.
I may dress them up with cool buttons because they are plain yellow right now )

*Just for Halloween.....Have you ever made that bundt cake with leftover Milky Way bars?
(It has been years but yes!  I remember it being very good with a cup of coffee. Just search the web on google or duckduckduckgo my favorite new search engine)

*Did you ever have to admit to eating something unhealthy to a doctor or nurse?
(Yup.  I hate two reeses cups the night I went into labor with Zach on Nov. 1. I had to say the last thing i ate and when.  Ugh: Two reeses' cups before I decided I was in labor)

*What frightens you more ? Dropped stitches or yarn chicken?
(Depends.  Yarn chicken is probably the worst!)

I'm not a fan of Halloween, and (gasp) this farmgirl didn't even Trick orTtreat as a child. Horror of horrors!

Yarn chicken is NOT fun - I just played that game and thankfully, I won. Whew!

Love all the hats. I have several in my hat bin - my favorite is purple, knit with eyelash yarn.

1. The Mister has been watching the games but I can't sit still enough for sports on TV.
2. I've already had candy corn for breakfast with toasted pumpkin seeds.
3. I like my pumpkins naked.
4. The Mister did it for me. I was struggling and I already have a big boo boo.
5. I've got a ton. I still searching for THE hat.
6. Nope. I was at the ice rink for practice until late.
7. I've got too much scenery to make this week. Pressures on.
8. Leftover candy? No such thing.
9. Yarn chicken for sure.
Have a happy Halloween. Go Cubs!

Don't know if it's still true where I grew up in WI, but trick or treating was the night before Halloween and called "beggars' night". On Halloween there was a huge costume parade at the high school. Just had a yummy Halloween treat yesterday, a pretzel twist with a melted Hug on it that was decorated with one candy corn! (Someone brought a plateful to choir yesterday morning.) Oh, and yarn chicken is the worst! Go Cubs!

1. I did not see the play you mentioned because I was a good girl and did not watch the game--and they won!! I will not be watching the next game either. Trust me, you'll thank me for it.
2. No, I haven't eaten any candy yet. I didn't buy candy that I like on purpose.
3. No because I am a bah humbug person where Halloween is concerned.
4. No pumpkin carving done in this house. I really am bad about Halloween.
5. I gave away a dozen hats to the chemo center when Dotti was having chemo. Now I have 5.
6. I knit during NOT watching time last night.
7. My knitting plan is to finish the first sleeve for the stash sweater.
8. I've never made a bundt cake with Milky Way bars but I've used them for cookies.
9. Yes, I spill the beans every time I'm in the doctor's office. My weight maintenance trials are legendary there. I am a vegetarian and would be the perfect weight if someone could just convince me that chocolate is not a vegetable.
10. Definitely yarn chicken! I always think I have more yarn than I do. I really should start weighing it or something!
Happy Monday Kathy.

Never heard of it.

*Did you ever have to admit to eating something unhealthy to a doctor or nurse?
I'm sure I have.. :-)

*What frightens you more ? Dropped stitches or yarn chicken?
Dropped stitches as I don't know what a yarn chicken is.

1. I've already had my daily four pieces of candy today. It's like that almost every day. Been cutting down to one of each kind a day.
2. No.
3. I have at least four, handknit beanies.
4. I don't watch the WS unless my G-men are playing.
5. I knitted as much of my Frankie before October ends. I will be casting on for NaKniSweMo tomorrow.
6. No, don't like Milky Ways. I have tried a recipe that has Rolos in it but it was just okay.
7. Dropped sts.
Happy Halloween!

1. I did not have any Halloween candy today. Didn't buy any.

2. No pumpkin (I.E. no accessories)

3. See #2

4. I have one Noro hat for this winter. I've NEVER worn a hat, but this year I might. I live in NORTH Florida now. LOL

5. I did knit last night, but it was while watching Monday Night Football (not the World series -- sorry).

6. No plans -------just knit what I want, when I want.

7. Never made the Bundt cake. I don't have a Bundt pan anymore. And --- I'm not much of a baker. Sure does SOUND good though.

8. Oh yeah ...........my endo gets the run down every 4 months. LOL I'm not always on top of my game when it comes to avoiding sweets, especially when stressed. There has been a LOT of stress lately.

9. Yarn chicken is a WHOLE lot worse than dropped stitches (unless it's in lace --- then it is just frog the whole thing back and start over again.)

The hats are great-I miss wearing one, only a little!
I am always playing yarn chicken as I like to use as much of a skein or ball as I can!
*Tricks! Many tricks last night at the Cubs World Series game.
Did you see the catcher Ross catch and drop a foul pop up only to have Rizzo catch it before it hit the ground?
Nope.. but I’m sending them lots of good juju just for you!

*Are you planning to have a Halloween Candy today?
Today and everyday until it’s gone!

*Would you knit an accessory for your pumpkin. No judgement I promise!
Not for my pumpkin, but I might knit a pumpkin. Did you see these? http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/chic-little-pumpkins
So cute!

Did you carve a pumpkin?
I did – I carved three! Which oddly enough, ended up almost identical to the three I carved last time!
* I finished my third Pekpeka Seventh Hat. The big blue one is for me! Knit with Zara. How many hats to you have to wear this winter?
Oh my… I’m afraid to count. I knit at least one new one each year (sometimes more). I’d guess around 10-15….

*Did you knit during the World Series game last night?
I probably did, but the game wasn’t on TV. We were watching Murdoch Mysteries all night!

*Do you have a knit plan for the week?
Yes! Finish my Corvin cardigan if I can. The move onto my lace tunic

*Just for Halloween.....Have you ever made that bundt cake with leftover Milky Way bars?
No… but I’m going to have to check that out now.

*Did you ever have to admit to eating something unhealthy to a doctor or nurse?
My Dr knows just how poor my diet is… but he’s so sweet, he never judges, and just gently reminds me I could do a lot for myself by eating just a little bit better.

*What frightens you more ? Dropped stitches or yarn chicken?
Yarn chicken is not fun…. But if that dropped stitch is several rows back and in lace… YIKES!

Didn't watch the game.

Eat candy? Of course.

No, I wouldn't knit for a pumpkin, but I might knit one of those and stuff it for next year.

This is the first year we haven't carved a pumpkin.

I have more hats than I can count. I'm definitely a hat person.

I didn't watch the game but I did cross stitch during that time.

I'm choosing the next pattern. So many patterns, so little time.

No, haven't tried that one.

Yes, I had to confess to being a choclaholic to a doctor.

Yarn chicken but I don't scare easily.
