I'm Late TO the Party...Again
I'm like an addict with my knitting. I truly am.
Fireman's good cycling bike is in the shop and I equate it to my not being able to knit. Shudder. C'mon Performance Cycle fix this issue! It's cycling season.
I finally realized after watching Amy Beth at Fat Squirrel that she puts all her WIPS in individual bags. Duh.
I have so many bags. I don't usually have so many WIPS.
Yet I reached into my stash bin and found this ruched scarf just calling my name. I can pick up where I left off....as soon as I remember what the pattern is!
From now on all WIPS go into bags.
Allison is knitting a color block easy cowl/scarf.
This is very unlike her.
She's all about the lace and charts and complexity.
Maybe she IS my knit child after all.
Do you keep all your Wips in zipped bags or the like?

Love Al's project so far!
Love the scarves!
I do keep things in big ziplocs; current works go in pretty project bags but only two out at a time!
Is that scarf thingy a Citron? It sure looks like mine.
Yes, I admit, I put my projects in plastic freezer bags (but I don't store my projects in the freezer, maybe I'll have to once I have exhausted all other secret stash storage places! Haha!)
I started doing this for quite some time now, because that way I can keep the yarn for one project together, and also because I never leave the house without taking at least one or two projects with me, I crochet/knit extensively on buses etc.
I'm sitting surrounded by big bags/storage baskets with lots of WIPs, I never get bored, because I can alternate what I am doing.
Good luck with your scarf, it looks interesting! Love the nice colours of your friend's scarf, too!
Remember to add those bags to your weekly shopping list! ;)

I am good about keeping projects in their individual bags, my biggest problem is I've gotten lazy with my index cards that tells me where I was in a pattern when I temporarily abandon a WIP.
Biking is to Keith what knitting is to me -- sound familiar? Keith's bike is never in the shop because he does all his own mechanical work (he is truly a fanatic). Also, he has four bikes. When I met him, he called his favorite bike, his "wife." I think he may still think of her that way!
