Bell on MY Ankles

 Move up, head'm out Rawhide1
I'm in the mood to ride a horse.
When I ride a horse, I get nervous and I can't think about anything else.
I dont' see myself saddling up anytime soon, but I love a good canter.  Kim's recent blog post at Handeyecrafts got me horsing around with the idea....
A woman at Three Bags Full was knitting this baby blanket.
She said she's knit it so many times she doesn't need a pattern.
I'm impressed and I love the color for a baby.
She using cascade's superwash.

As for me, I think I'm bailing on the slippers.
That Christmas stocking urge keeps coming back.
I need some porch knitting time.
This afternoon should do it.

I got up in the middle of the night and ate a milkyway bar.
So outta line. I've been maintaining and I just cannot have that stuff in the house.   I swear I'm putting  a bell on my ankle and reminding myself to knock that off!

Bell on your ankle - ha! I should try that. I would love to go horseback riding...it has been decades since I've done that. Love that baby blanket.

I am a sleep eater. I can control myself all day but if I fall asleep watching tv my first thought on waking is junk food. I can't control that terrible urge so I work so hard not to fall asleep on the couch. I also make The Mister take all his junk food downstairs into the man cave. That way it has kooties and I won't touch it.

Love the bell on my ankle idea! I may steal it my friend. That baby blanket is gorgeous and I can't imagine knitting it without a pattern. I try not to keep much junk food around because I'll eat it all. Especially the chocolate .
Blessings,
Betsy

I'm not a night time eater but I can sympathize....it's so hard to keep the weight in a manageable spot! Knit when you have the cravings! lol

I used to love horseback riding.. I even had my own quarter horse named Lady. But those days are over for me. Sad. I think you deserved a chocolate bar, you've been very good. ((hugs)), Teresa :-)

Next to kayaking and ice skating, horse back riding is my FAVORITE thing to do. If I could spend my time on skates, kayaks or horses all day long, I'd be a happy woman!

I LOVE that baby blanket. Such a beautiful grouping of stitching in a pretty yellow! Lucky baby!

I get the "rings on her fingers" but I've always wondered about the "bells on her toes. Now I know they are to keep her from eating Milky Ways in the middle of the night. I used to be a middle of the night eater but no more.

I love the cabled baby blanket so much!! It puts my lace blanket to shame.

I'm with you Kathy, it has been years and years since I was on a horse. I would love to but I don't know if I could handle it now. Next to dogs, horses are my favorite animal.

What is it about sugar in the middle of the night? I have no resistance then, either. At least I'm sleeping better now that school is out. Don't beat yourself up. One candy bar isn't that bad. At least you didn't scarf down a whole gallon of ice cream! I started back on my low-sugar diet today, and it was deceptively easy. I just hope I don't have any middle of the night issues!

Porch knitting is THE best activity for summertime. Love the baby blanket - I hope the new mom appreciates all the time it takes to knit.

My snack in issues happen in the late afternoon - graze, graze, graze.
Happy Knitting! Whatever or wherever you make it!

I'd love to have some time to sit and knit, I have in the evening watching the Olympic Swimming Trials abut other than that I feel I am at a stand still.

I have a hard time with chips.......
Hugs,
Meredith

The thought of ankle bells made me laugh. That would drive our new pup crazy. I'm a late afternoon muncher. It's dangerous to have chips or chocolate in our house. The baby blanket is gorgeous. Knitting on the porch sounds lovely.

I think horses are great animals but I'm scared to ride one because I'd be up there so high up. I've done horseback riding in Tahoe as a kid and imagine me on a hungry horse that had to eat some green plant on a little ledge slightly below the ground we were on, giving me a view of down.
