The Happy Feet Sock Finish

The Happy Feet finish.
My only complaint:  there was not enough yarn for two socks in one skein.
I tried!
So I added another Happy Feet red to finish.
They were fun to knit.
But, then, all socks are fun to knit.
They are not perfectly placed on the snow....I was cold and still in my pj's.

Cost: 10.70  per skein.
Lesson learned: I get a nicer stitch eveness knitting on 4 needles and a fifth to work than knitting on 3 with a 4th to work.
Stephanie of Yarn Harlot taught me this.
If you work on 4 you are really making a square so the ladder issues go away.

Are you wearing your handknit socks today?

I'm knitting socks today, trying to use some single skeins by knitting alternating stripes.

I'd need two skeins of the Happy Feet to knit a pair of socks for myself.

I have no handknit socks! (sad face). I really must give it a try. I can use dpns, but never tried 4 instead of 3. I'm going to try it.
Your socks look very nice.

Have you ever tried knitting socks on two circs? I find dpns very fiddly.

They are awesome, but I have to disagree, not all socks are fun to knit that is why I swear of all sock knitting!
Hugs and stay warm,
Meredith

All of mine are sadly in the closet on the floor waiting to be handwashed. Solid pair here. You must be a tight knitter to knit on 4's. I usually use 1's.

Great socks! xx

I really like the way that yarn pools! I like to knit on 4 needles, but I lose the fifth one a lot :( So then I'm stuck with 3.

you bet I am wearing hand knit socks, I wear them all winter long. I am lucky that I make my socks last years and years. My husband is hard on socks so I'm knitting them all the time for him. Beautiful socks!!

I have to laugh thinking about you in your pj's arranging your cute little socks in the snow. I wonder what the neighbors think of me when I am out doing the same thing!

Beautiful! Love your red socks. I usually knit socks on three and knit with the fourth needle. The very next pair I'll try using all five needles.
Blessings,
Betsy

Beautiful, colorful socks. Red is my favorite color and can you believe I don't have a single pair of red socks.

I wore my pink and fuchsia Socks That Rock during my cataract surgery on Thursday and got rave reviews from nurses and doctors alike.

Your socks look great. I hate when skeins don't have enough for a pair. :-(

Yes, indeed! I AM wearing hand knit socks today. It's downright chilly here in Florida.

Pretty socks! I'm not wearing any hand-knit socks today because all of them are in need of a wash!

I love a feisty pair of red socks! Nice job on blending skeins to get enough yardage!
YES! I have my own socks on-it's cold here in FL, too, at 28* !
Yes I am wearing a pair of my hand made socks and I love your new pair! I'm working on a very naughty missbehaving pair at the moment. sigh. I may have to put them in the corner on a time out if they don't staighten up.
Great socks! Stay warm!

You were out barefoot in the snow??? Brrrr! Fun socks! Have we seen the green ones? At the moment I've got a tiny pair on my needles. Sure beats big-people socks!
