It Was A Wonderful Year 2014

Dear Beatles modeling my last finish of 2014.
My sock yarn double cowl is finished.
It has been almost done for months, just waiting for the circle to be joined.

I've cast on a new project to welcome in the new year.
The year of the SHEEP, 2015.

Rozzy made it through 2014.
We are blessed.

I finally mastered reverse shaping during 2014.
I haven't done it since.....

Retiring was the most wonderful surprise of the year.
Every day I pinch myself.
Every night I dream I'm still stressed out at work.

I got to meet Judy from Stitchalongwithme blog fame.
We had fun with Channon in Virginia...yet again!

We all know it was the year of the Trap for me.
I wrote the pattern author and thanked her this week. She was very touched.

Goodbye to a very good year....
Hello and WELCOME to our New Year.

May your knitting bring you joy and peace in the NEW YEAR.

Nice finish! (I still don't know how you get Beatles to model for you! Our cats would be tearing around like maniacs.) We loved meeting up with you, too. A gilr can't have too many Traps, especially in Chicago. Actually it's almost Chicago-like here today, definitely Trap weather, thank you again!

Beatles doesn't look especially pleased to act as your model for the Trap scarf, but has done a fine job, nevertheless! Ha. Cute picture.

Isn't it wonderful to count one's blessings for the year? We all have much to be thankful for, even the challenges that launch us forward.

Good bye to 2014; hello, 2015! Best wishes for a grand new year.

Beatles looks quite fetching! Please give Beatles, Rozzy, and Pie a kiss from me (maybe an extra one for Rozzy!).

I hope 2015 treats all of you well. Happy New Year!

I love your Traps! I love the fact that you retired. Your no regrets attitude about it gives me comfort as I approach the most stressful part of our year. I have made a decision to stay in the business through 2015 and evaluate things on January 1, 2016. If I decide then to retire I will do so with no regrets. DH is on board with my decision and now all I have to do is get through tax season and coast the rest of the year. I hope none of my clients ever hear me say I am coasting through the year. Haha!

Happy New Year Kathy and thanks for sharing yourself and your knitting with all of us.

I'm working on a double cowl now, too. I have two more sections to knit and it will be ready to graft.

No new skills this year, but lots of finished projects.

Happy New Year!

I SO envy people with retired status, but I know I need to put in a few more years!
You have an unusually cooperative cat.
And I'm looking forward to to your adventures in 2015.
