Al's Knitting

Before we get to Al's knitting, I must show you the funny Jam names on the jam that arrived yesterday.   An unexpected present arrived in the mail from Michigan friends.
MMMMMM, breakfast jam.
So this is one of Al's projects.  She is busy knitting between school semesters and while she is off of work.
The yarn is a bit more red than the image shows.
So today, she left and we all had a good BOoo Hooo cry.
She promises she'll move back to the Midwest when her schooling is over.  She wants to!
Hooray.

We saw INTO THE WOODS yesterday.
We loved it.
I want to see it again.

We also watched: The hundred foot journey and the Chef.
I loved the Hundred Foot Journey.
The Chef was cute.

Watching movies? are you?
Knitting? I bet you are!

(P.S.  Three Bags Full is having a big after Christmas Sale this week. I bought my yarn for the winter class I'm taking at the sale today.

Knitting: Socks

Watching Movies: Guardians of the Galaxy and Throne of Blood (Akira Kurosawa's 1957 Japanese version of MacBeth).

That's how my son rolls and we're just along for the ride. LOL

Both Briton and Hannah are anxious to see "Into the Woods". I'm not a big movie-goer myself, though I did treat myself to a Marx Brothers mini-festival on Christmas Eve.

Knitting-wise, I've made a hat, and finally finished a sock I've had on the needles a while. I cast on this afternoon for a scarf.

Knitting: tiny red mitts for little great-nieces.

Movies: Mr. Peabody and Sherman.

Other activities: Doing dishes. And more dishes. Next time someone asks me what Christmas means to me, I will answer: "An endless round of dirty dishes."

:D

Al's got some nice projects going! Hope she had an uneventful flight back home. We just saw Wild and enjoyed it, especially seeing our choir friend in his small part. I'm working on a b'day sweater for Max who will be 3 on the 4th. How did that happen?

Hi, Kathy b! So glad you found me via Meredith. Thanks for the comment! I love the Jam names and the company name too...too funny. People are so creative. I'm not a knitter, but I do love to see other people's knitting, and I love to crochet. I'll be back to blogging tomorrow with a poncho I finished over the Christmas holidays. Hope you come back and visit me! I'll be back here. ♥

I watched Die Hard and The Interview today while working on a sweater for Pup.
I saw Into the Woods on Broadway back in the day and loved it. I can't wait to see the movie.
Boo hoo....my boy moved away and says Michigan is where he'll stay. I get that this is a hard place to put down roots but I'm still sad.

No movies here, but we did have dinner with my childhood BFF and her family last night, and Sissy had a good pressure check.

I have the Hundred Foot Journey on dvd but haven't watched it yet. Hmmm ... not too sure about something called toe jam. Ha! Best wishes, Tammy

This was one time when we didn't go to a movie. We were pondering "Into the Woods," but I think I'll catch it somewhere soon. I've seen the stage play twice and love the show. I'm glad you thought the movie was quite good.

Very nice sweater in red, and it looks like it might knit up rather quickly...yahoo.

I'd have to think a minute before tasting "Toe Jam," but it's a really cute name. LOL

I'd like to see into the woods but I don't think I have a buddy as yet. We've watched Xmen so far. I am fine as long as we sit upstairs where there is light and I can knit!!
