What A Birthday!

We had a fantastic day and it was my birthday.
Ginny from Virginia came home with Al to play with us this weekend.  She is awesome, an ER nurse and lots of fun.
The day was peppered with presents and well wishes.
The weather was amazing.
Let the fun continue….
My sister sent me this LIFE IS BETTER BY THE CAMPFIRE sign….its …perfect.

There was no time to knit, but I did have time to talk knitting with Al and show her the baby sweaters I have finished.

Ginny brought a very fun card game called
Phase 10.
We played it last night.
Very easy, very very fun.

So far 54 is wonderful.
Thank you all for your well wishes -
Here's to my retirement in 363 days.
I will work but I won't be a nurse anymore.
I'm getting ready!!!
I have one good year left in me.
This is year 32 of hospital beside nursing.
The countdown has begun!

Sounds like you had a perfect birthday. It's great that you have a retirement date! I'm a year older than you but nowhere near retirement -- that's the problem with switching careers!

Three beautiful, loving, giving ladies!! I'm so glad to hear your birthday was all the good things you deserve. Al looks wonderful and you don't look a day over thirty--the 52 is hard to believe! I love the plaque with Fireman's candle holders.

Thirty-two years as a nurse is a real labor of love. I see everyday what nurses give of themselves and it is amazing. Congratulations on a wonderful career. We will be counting down the days with you.

Happy Birthday, you day sounded just perfect, with two lovely young women so share it with. I am four years behind you and ready and raring to go.... As for work, who knows, I am a tired therapist.
Hugs,
Meredith

Yay for retirement at 55! Start stashing away all the good things you'll need for a loooong lifetime of doing what YOU want to do.

That is so cool!

We used to play Phase 10 when Stephen was a kid. It's a great game.

Here's to a wonderful year on your way to 55!
