Scattered Storms, Scattered Thoughts

 Yarn in a bin.
Doesn't it look soft? 

I'm using Berroco Vintage for my latest Trap. Dark colors but you'll like the effect.  

 I've  also decided to cast on for a Speck Butterfly Shrug.
I've had the yarn  (Classic elite Chesapeake)  since the yarn sale at my local shop in April.  It is a cotton/merino blend. 
It is kind of a boring brown color…..
this may hamper progress…
and I'm blaming Chan for my sudden desire to knit with pink, or Pank as she says.  
If I keep up with my steps I'll let myself buy Pank Koigu for the next Trap. 
Speaking of steps, I'm using my snowshoe poles when I do my walks.
They call this Nordic walking.  
I see more and people using them. 
Finally, due to Rozzy's fragile state,
I'm not fostering kittens this summer. 
When I saw this shirt I had to buy it. 

Stormy steamy weather expected here today.
I'm off to rescue a damsel in distress. 
A young thang, new to Chicago, got her car towed yesterday and needs a ride to pick it up.  
Ah woman power……
it is good to rescue one another :)

I see people using those poles here too. Usually elderly people up on the cliff walks. We also have the scattered storms forecast but nothing has happened as yet. I really do hope it happens though,rain that is because this looks more and more like a desert city!!! . That is what I call yummy yarn and yes it looks soft.

I hope the storms weren't too hard on you. We had some spectacular heat lightning last night, and about an hour south of us there were some nasty tornados. Ah, summer!

Hurrah for Woman Power! I've relied on women friends many times to help me through some rough patches.

Several of my friends use poles when walking. I've tried them and can't get into the rhythm.

I have a friend that is fostering four kittens this summer that all have a respiratory infection. She's running a mini animal hospital. She's doing it because her husband won't let her get a dog. That will teach him.

Dang, I love the yarn, love that you are trap obsessed. I think the t-shirt is a very cool design and I want you to send a cuddle to your cat. Do you use your poles on trails and sidewalk alike?

Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house. Every Once in a While I Might Post

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. How can I can have one grown child in Oklahoma under flood watch, and One Child in Mexico under hurricane watch?  On the same day.  Tis true.  4. What have I knitted lately?  I am pretty sure I've ripped more than I've knit.  I ripped out a shawl that I was making up.  It was cotton and pretty.  I need to follow a pattern.  5. I was trying to make socks and decided to make mittens instead.  I haven't worked a thumb in a long time.  I may have to frog it too.  So I have been knitting, but not making things.  6.
