Not a Trap Scarf

You may have to sit down.  This is not a Trap shawl/scarf.
I'm actually knitting something else.
Not for long.
As soon as this waffle weave cowl in Malabrigo silk is off the needles, I"m going back to Trap.
The yarn is Silky Merino color: Pradera.
As for today's nature segment: I had to visit the horses at the barn nearby yesterday.  The light was bad, the flash was off , but this one photoshopped kind of dreamy…
I love horses.

I'd like to thank the bird that woke me up at 0400.
That's the risk you take with open windows on a gloriously cool summer night.
I was having a nightmare about work, so I am most grateful to the
creature.
I fall back asleep so easily it rarely matters if I'm awakened.

In other good news : I was at the dermatologists office yesterday. My NICU nurse friend Jane, happened to be there as well.
She came up to me and said,
"Are you on mole patrol too?"
Love that.
Yup I was on Mole patrol and all was well.

Happy Friday, friends. Thanks to all for the visits to the knitting shops blog.  I hope you are enjoying it.

Plans?  What plans..I
got
none

and I'm so happy about a blank slate

There was a segment on the five pm news on channel 9 yesterday regarding the Tempel lipizzans. I saw the Lipizzaner horses when I was in Austria one year. You might enjoy this since you like horses.

Stopped into 3 bags yesterday. So wanted to purchase some yarn and a pattern but I must finish that which I have already begun.

I haven't picked up my knitting needles in nearly a week, a record for me. I need to get back into a routine.

Instead of knitting, I've been sewing, twining a rug, and getting things ready for a yard sale.

I bought yarn yesterday at the new yarn store here to make 2 traps. You have infected me!

I love the stitch pattern on the new cowl. I also was awakened early AM, but by a sick little dog. Too many goodies yesterday. I have to have a talk with the goody provider!

I like the pics today Kathy. They are all cool in their own way. It's true I'm impressed that you aren't knitting a trap AND that you are returning to knitting one. hehe.

I love blank slate weekends. Have a wonderful one.

I miss being around horses. We have lots of cattle around our area, but not many horses and NONE that I get to actually play with. :-(

Growing up I had lots of riding opportunity. I miss it.

Have a great "blank slate" weekend.

That's a beautiful cowl. That yarn is gorgeous.
I've got no plans either, thank goodness. I'm looking forward to a weekend of blessed nothingness.

I love your posts, and how nice to be knitting a different pattern but I bet you miss the tried and true!

That bird has a few relatives in this neck of the woods. They choose the one, solitary tree (over the hundred or so surrounding us) to chirp in the wee morning hours.

That cowl is gorgeous
