Busy Busy

Loved this fund raising idea in the Keys.

I spent time on vacation knitting this cat blanket.
The very first night I had it on the couch,
Beatles threw up a hairball on it.
Hooray for acrylic, at least it wasn't on the couch.
I can say it washed and dried good as new.

Kind of a crazy weekend round here.
There was a colonoscopy on Friday,
 work Saturday...
(a day shift no less.)
Haven't done that in years…
Out with firemen and wives on Saturday night
and volunteering at the shelter Sunday.

Oh and there was lace shawl knitting.
I love this pattern.
Cobweb requires very little attention to detail.
I have index cards in order of rows and
it is very easy to follow the pattern this way.
No stitch markers needed…
it is the perfect pattern for me.

I guess now you can say that the blanket has been pre-tested for colorfastness and washability.

Hope the rest of your week goes better. Any week with a colonoscopy in it is NOT a good week.
Those are the best kind of patterns!

You gotta love a cat who knows what to do with a new blanket! Yea for finding a new shawl pattern. I have just fallen in love with Lion Brands new Spring Ruana. Must knit it!

Kathy, I love the yarn for the cat blanket, what is it? I'm glad it survived the cat clean test :) It sounds like a wonderful and full weekend! I looked up your Cobweb pattern and a) so happy you found a lace pattern you like b)the pattern looks really good, like it can show off a variety of yarns! Enjoy.
You can't beat acrylic..it's the stuff that will outlast all of us! :)

Looking forward to seeing a shawl update.

Wishing you a lovely day.

Knits SHOULD be used, and obviously Beatles knows that!

Your schedule sounds almost as crazy as mine.

You have been busy! Love the kitty blankie. Too bad about the hairball but it was bound to happen. Cats throw up on everything, don't they? I've been furminating mine like crazy because I'm tired of cleaning it up.

Ewwwww...

I'm so glad you found THE lace pattern for you. Maybe I'll give it a whirl if ever the baby knitting stops.

I guess Beatle broke in the blanket, eh? My yarn like yours arrived today; now to figure out what to do with it! Just as nice a color in person as on your blog, too! Anxious to see the finished shawl...I found the pattern.....

Just knit a shawl for my sister--a prayer shawl.
She has a baby late last month. Few days later she was back at the hospital in the ER complications. My mother and the baby went with her. She has been released but still kind of a worry. This was baby # 5.
I think she was released on Saturday.
