Seriously….

 I frogged this Noro cowl start. 
I had nearly finished it when I decided against the cowl.  It is no fault of the color way because I love  all the colors (and the way they play so nicely together.)

Now I am using the Noro in the garter vest that will take me months to finish. 
I just thought I'd show you the pre frogged almost cowl ...  
  Fireman's ax is hung in our family room now. 
Just in case we need to bust out someday. 
Seriously, I keep the scanner on anyhow and I just heard of a structure fire in Northbrook. 
This is brutal weather for firefighters…
I'm praying for them all.

 Lordy, I just looked up the address and its right near 3 Bags Full. 
Be safe ladies…!!

Was the Noro a bit too scratchy for around you neck? I always found it "itchy".

Yes Dee it was kind of scratchy at my neck! It will work as a vest with a shirt under it!

I am watching a Hallmark movie about a firefighter, and appreciate your reminder to pray for those who keep us safe.
The almost cowl was pretty, but I can imagine it will be a pretty vest :)
It is still snowing here. The little A frame structure in the snow picture you asked about was moved onto the property before we moved here, but we are thinking it is intended to be a playhouse for the kids.

I love the ax!! It is a beautiful tribute to his service! I talked to Fireman Son earlier today and he and his men are fighting the cold and the "silly" (his term) drivers. Thoughts and prayers for firefighters everywhere tonight and their Police cohorts. Where would we be without their protection and service?

I have frogged a sweater three times and I am almost ready to do it again. Not sure I like the sweater after all. I made it before and sent it to an aunt and she loves it. I am just taller than she

I love that you hung the axe on the wall, he has had such a distinguished career. Love the Noro, but working with Noro can be so fiddly, it often does not want to be what we intend for it to be.

We need to get the Knight's ax up. It hung in his office as chief, and I want to do his home office in a fire dept. theme...

I admire your courage. That yarn will serve you better as a vest.

That is one beautiful axe. I know this brutal cold combined with some dangerous ways to try and keep warm is trouble, trouble, trouble in the making.

I think using the Noro in a vest is an excellent choice! Sorry you had to do some frogging to get there!

Impressive axe! I hope Fireman never has another reason to take it off the wall. Keep warm and safe!

Those colors are delicious. Too bad about the frogging but sometimes you just gotta. I think I have a project that is on death row too.
Anyone who had to work out in this winter weather deserves a medal. It's been brutal. We need spring and we need it now.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
