Saturday Showin Off, Stitch Markers and Shawland

 Below is an unnecessary thank you from Wandering Cat Studios for buying yarn to help pay vet bills.  Look at those sweet stitch markers.   Thanks so much. 
 Yesterday was frogging day for me. 
Both knits were victims of not enough yarn
syndrome.  The gold almost socks will be a hat.  (someday)
The speckled while fingerless was a case of running out as well.
I don't know what it will morph into one day. 
If I leave a knit sit for too long, I usually end up ripping it out. 

Good pal Linda who works in the OR at spay neuter with me
made a fantastic pair of Fiddle head mittens.

Dashielle is VERY handsome. I love setters.

My Olympic knitting wasn't too bad. I made progress on my afghan. I finished Steve's birthday socks. I cross stitched a bookmark and I got a start on a new cross stitch project and a pair of socks for me.

I loved watching the olympics too-I got my quilt finished except for all the words I am going to add, and last night I made my first hexies-loved it

What did I finish? Four pairs of baby booties, prompted by the birth of a few sweet children in our area, a pair of socks, and a small Fisherman's Gansey (on 2 mm needles)

But besides that we also celebrated this weekend... less knitting time. Our 25th wedding anniversary was on the 21st, as well as my birthday.

I haven't seen a setter in ages. He really is gorgeous.
I am going to miss the Olympics playing in the background of my day. I do have the World Cup to look forward to and there is always the Tour de France (Fleece).
I finished a bit of this and a bit of that. I really should have been finishing up what I already had started but where's the fun in that?

Frogged a sweater yesterday too. I just had to seam it together. Oh well have to figure something else out what to make.

What a beautiful dog! I can't see the stitch markers, but I'll take your word that they're cute. Are they cats? Sounds like you've been quite productive during the Olympics! I definitely have not. And I am not a prolific enough knitter to want to do anything with a knitted dishcloth except frame it and hang it on the wall. :-) Thanks for stopping in at Cranberry Morning!

That's a great picture of the setter.

I don't like to frog...and you frogged two projects??? Horrors!Ha.

I made some headway on my lacy scarf during the Olympics, and I'm sorry to see them end. I stayed up late, late, late last night and watch the skaters one more time. They are fantastic.

We just wanted to say thanks to everyone who helped out. You guys really made a huge difference. The growth's constant bursting was getting really stressful near the end (for both me and the cat) and it would have taken much longer to afford the surgery without all of you.

Beautiful pup. Very little knitting here, but Dogwood Deals are done, so I might have a moment to unload the dishwasher and knit ... especially if we get FEET of snow on Monday.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house. This morning I got my cuppa joe and headed to the porch to write you.  In the distance, my nearest neighbor, whom I can see through some trees.... well one of their teens came out, stretched, peed on their lawn casually, and then laid in his hammock for 5 minutes.  I'm sure he's not the first boy to do this.  I'm not even sure he's the...
