Joy to The World, My Vest is Done

The back with a cable and seed
 The Front  (all Seedstitch)
It's a little big, but I'm leaving it-
I loved the yarn:
Remix
It is not splitty.
I love the blue/green color.

I took notes.

How funny that I knit my own vest without a pattern.
Thanks Karen for the guidance.
Thanks Tamara for the V neck understanding.
Why do I feel so relieved it is over?

Total cost under 50.00 .

When I make another, it won't be with one big cable down the back.
It probably won't be seed stitch either….
(unless it is for Katherine!)
I will use this yarn again.

I'm going to go collapse now in front of a roaring fire and
the playing of Christmas carols …..

Too big better than too small. And now, when I hear "Joy to the World," your second line is what I will think about.

It's beautiful!! You've earned the fire and carols. The cable is great and I just want to run my hands over the seed stitch--such a calming texture! I'm so impressed by you doing your own thing pattern-wise. That is the mark of a knitting professional. Brava!!

Congrats!! I'm so very, very impressed. It also reminds me that I have a lovely, red mohair lace cardi I started... two? years ago to wear for Christmas. Hem.

Valentine's Day, anyone?

Let all the Earth rejoice!!!!!! i love it. And I have to give you a lot of credit, seed stitch makes me want to poke my eyes out with a knitting needle. It is soooooooooo slow. It looks great and bigger is much better than small.
Hugs,
Meredith

It's fabulous! I need a vest. I really hate sweater sleeves when I am trying to do something crafty. They are always in the way.

Great job on the vest! Looks just perfect for your nippy Illinois weather. Pretty color, too.

Yay, Kathy! It looks soo good! And you are relieved it's done, b/c you've been dreaming about doing this, and you did it on your own design. I gotta say that thinking about that feels me with anxiety! Congratulations!

Cute vest! I completely understand your feeling of relief, though. I get that, too, when I finish clothing and it actually fits.
