Is My Knitting Up to Par
Sometimes Fireman asks me if I'd like to ride along while he golfs.
Fireman is an excellent golfer and I would rather ride along than play also. I get to be the crazy cart lady. (I know I am already a crazy cat lady)
This course was new to us and we found it on a whim.
This gorgeous yarn happened to be in my purse and it happened to find a way out for a photo op. It was gifted to me. This yarn was making me crazy as I finished the sparkly socks. This yarn gave me Startitis.
I tease Fireman that my knitting passion costs a bit, but I have socks and shawls and scarves and sweaters and hats to show for it. I gift so many of the things I knit.
You can love to play golf but you don't have any socks to show for it after you've played. As knitters we get double joys; the joy of knitting and the joys of wearing or gifting our knits.
As for me I prefer the driving range to the course. I'm too tired to golf 18 holes. I lose count of my score after 9 holes.
I do like to see my ball go FAR when I hit a good drive. This does not happen often. The views on almost any golf course are so lovely to me.
It was wonderful to ride along today.
Do you partially partake in any sports like me?

I like to hit a few balls also but I am really, really terrible so I only end up embarrassing myself. Now if the course were empty I would play but in front of other golfers-never. If I am going to embarrass myself-I prefer to do it in an ice rink. Put a pair of skates on my feet and I think I'm Dorothy Hamill.
I "partially" swim these days. I used to swim competitively but now I just pretend to be racing!
I used to water-ski up a storm. Now I just drive the jet ski and pull anyone that wants a ride.
Hugs,
Meredith
The Knight and I try to work out together about once every 10 years. The first time, I got mad because he showed me up on the bench press. Last year, he rode 10 minutes on the bike while I was running on the elliptical.
Steve is an avid golfer. I don't ever go with him too. Sometimes I think he just needs to get away from the "crazy knitting lady".
I participate in no sports. I did enjoy tennis and could see me doing it again, but the knees aren't what they used to be. I do like yoga. The stretching is fabulous!
Golf courses look like a fabulous place to knit!
