Nearly A Friday Finish

This is Magpie. Or Pie. Or Wiz as Zach wants to call her.
She's staying with us to grow a bit.  She has very little vision.
They cannot see any retina's.

Tank is enamored with her.
Beatles is NOT.

This is the Simple Ridges Shawlette unfinished.

See the lifeline I had to put in it; it is not even lace but I felt better with a lifeline.
Those addi turbos and I do NOT get along at all.
I just don't like them in my hands.
I don't like wooden circs either.
The yarn was gifted to me: Manos

I have to crochet the edges yet.
Then I will try for better pictures.
UP next: Socks again.
Summertime socks in watermelon from Knit Picks

I was going to try to save it for our road trip, but I can't wait.
It is that pretty.

Anything you can't wait for today???

Bless you for helping another kitty get a solid start in this rough world.

Nothing wrong with using a lifeline, especially with lots of stitches on the needle.

Interesting! I started a rectangular shawl a few nights ago (the first thing I've knitted with my healing shoulder) and I started with wooden circs, moved to Denise interchangeables, and finally gave up and got out the Addis!! I always go back to Addis! It's interesting how different we are as knitters and yet how much the same.

Your little vision impaired kitty is so cute and sweet!!

What a sweet baby kitty! I hope things go well, but you do seem to have a way to make kitties grow and thrive, so I'm not worried. :-)

The shawl is lovely, I really like the color.

I am really ready for this week to be over ...

That kitty is so cute! I am special requesting a picture next to a household item (another cat is absolutely acceptable) for "scale". Your knitting is coming along nicely. I'll tell you what I can't wait for ... tomorrow afternoon when we head to the river!

What a cutie! So sorry she's visually impaired, but Sis adapted to one eye almost immediately, and can catch even!

Beautiful shawl. I can't wait for July 9th! ;)

Teddie and Mr. Whiskers both got really close to the screen to see Pie.They agree that she is very lucky to be living with their momma Kathy. We thank you everyday for the start you gave our 2 rowdy little boys.

Hmmmmm...can't THINK of anything I can't wait for. Well, maybe vacation? But, that's a long ways away.

Magpie is adorable. That is so sad about her eyes. On the other hand, I know with your loving care, she will do just fine.

I love the texture and color of your shawl. Metal needles always make my hands hurt--I think I hold them too tightly to prevent yarn slippage. Cute kitty, too.

I owned a blind kitty once upon a time. She was the sweetest little thing. No bad kitty behavior just furry love.
The shawl is lovely in that color. I love the variation in that blue.

Precious little kitty!! That shawl is looking great. I'm addicted to the addi lace tips. ;) I resisted them at first... clinging to the wooden addis... but, now, addiction. Which is where I think they MUST have gotten the name. LOL! We've been so busy around here I'm just dying for some calm knitting days. blessings ~ tanna

I can't wait for daughter's wedding to be BEHIND us rather than in front. Tomorrow will be crazy, but the wedding will be lovely. Then life will settle back down to normal, or as near "normal" as we ever get here.

Love the shawl! And socks on the agenda, too... you go, Girl!

PS: My favorite circular needles now for socks are ChiaoGoo. I love the way they fit in my hands. Other needles cause a sore spot on the palm of one hand where I grip the needle, but these do not. These have a little bend in the needle down close to the cable. However, I recently purchase some lace needles and did not notice... they don't have the bend, and they make my hand sore. Different strokes (or needles) for different folks!

Oh, what a cute kitty! My last Yorkie lost his sight as he grew older but he got along just fine. We just had to watch him a little closer. It's so good of you to foster kitties like that. It must be hard to let them go though after you've cared for them. I'd probably get to attached and want to keep them. Of course it's a good way to get your kitty fix. :-)

Such a sweet little one, with hardly and vision? That is so sad. Love the shawl, and I love, love, love addi turbos. Sorry you are not loving them, too.

I am so happy to see that you are giving that sweet little kitty a home for a while. That melts my heart. So sweet.

I just purchased some square circular needles, made by Kollage, and I love them. They are size 2 for knitting socks. I am curious what the bigger sizes would feel like too.

Awww! I hope the blind kitty gets a great home!

You are so sweet to foster cats. I would love to do that. Of course, it would be getting rid of the husband who hates (but tolerates) all pets. And, Earl Gray would eat the new cats unless they were very very tiny.

Hi Kathy! I have missed you over the last two weeks as I was traveling, but it was fun to catch up on your latest just now. Your furry friends are so cute and blessed to have you to care for them! Your stitching prowess really inspires me. I am so pokey in comparison :-( On the average, how long are you able to knit each day do you think?
xx,
Gracie

I can't wait to get home and put jeans on. I wore a skirt to work today, and it's cute, but I am DONE WITH IT now...
