Alpaca, Mohair, Merino

Bridget was selling some of her stash.
I was interested in a box that had 2 skeins of charcoal grey in it.
She sold the whole kit and kaboodle for 25.00
Yesterday these yarns and more arrived at My Yarn Garden.
This is the best deal I've ever made in my knit life.

There is Alpaca, Mohair, Merino and Silk in the box.

Having pretty much knit down my stash last year, this is very exciting!

Such a surprise.
I had another surprise yesterday; friend Linda came to visit the kittens and she discovered Fixie is a boy.....
so 3 boys, I girl.

Another friend and neighbor Sharon, arrived with daffodils for me last night.  Hey opened up this morning and they are so cheerful.

Have you had any surprises this week?

So happy that you have yarn that you love, thanks for giving it a good home!

I haven't had any surprises of any kind this week, but that's fine - the weekend is here and I'm ready to just enjoy that.

Have a good one and kiss all the kitties for me. :-)

What great yarns for the price!! They should inspire some fun/beautiful projects!!

So Fixie is a boy, eh? I had a similar surprise several years ago. I got a beautiful long-haired white cat. Called her Dolly. She was a princess. When she was about 6 months old, I took her in to be spade. I got a call from the vet in the late afternoon, saying the cat had been NEUTERED! That was a shock. Had to change the name to Dali (as in Salvador Dali). For quite a while I had a difficult time adjusting to the fact that my princess was a prince! :-)

That is good looking yarn! It brings to mind a bunch of knitting projects that would love to be knit from it!

Not good ones. Oh well...next week will be a better week, right?

Fixie works good for a boy OR a girl. At least s/he gets to keep his name.

You definitely scored on the yarn front! Our surprise was that the sun came out today and it was warm! As for Fixie, at least you found out before you took him to be spayed. Like Nancy we had that experience, and that cat was never the same afterwards.

If Fixie gets fixed, what will that make him?

Sounds like an amazing deal on that yarn box. :)

The snow Tuesday night was a surprise. Or rather, that it managed to stick and take out our power for 34 hours was shocking.

Happy surprises? Being whisked away from work yesterday afternoon for lunch with the Knight and our last run as Chief & Mrs Chief to pick up awards. I still maintain he won't truly retire, but time will tell...

... finding the Gigi print dress I wanted on sale at the beach's Lilly P shop, in my size even!

I'm going home this week! Leaving MinneSOHta! I can't wait. I hope to buy flowers soon, too. Maybe some daffodils... or Peonies? Can you plant peonies in a pot?
