Something Old Something New Something Borrowed Something Blue

You would think there was a wedding going on here, but no.
Something old is : the orange ribbed scarf I'm nearly finished knitting!
Something new is : Homemade Gazpacho.  I tried a very easy recipe I found online using tomato juice and it was delicious.   Fireman had to add chunks of avocado to his bowl.  I love gazpacho on a hot summer day.  We are having lots of great hot summer days.

Something borrowed: the book Im reading,  CATS by Doris Lessing. What a wonderfully written book.
Something blue: My Cardi Shrug is started in that awesome Mad Tosh.  It is fun and easy.

Wishing you a good book, a good old knit, a good new knit and some good gazpacho.  Happy Saturday.  Its the workend for me!  See you Monday or Tuesday.   Happy Father's Day weekend to all the blog lurking fathers out there!  You rock.

I must hear more about the gaspacho and avocado, and about that cardi! That's just soothing. I love the color.

I don't know that I've ever had gaspacho. Love that cardi. I'm knitting an alpaca baby sweater - crazy much? g

I love Gazpacho. I'll look for that recipe. The shrug is coming along. I can see the sleeve increases. It's going to be beautiful!!

Happy Father's Day to Fireman!

Gazpacho ... never had it. It seems a little too hot for me on a hot summer day..... when it is hot I like salads and fruit and lots and lots of cold drinks (NOT soda!)

The shrug looks great!

Mmmmm...gazpacho. My favorite! I make it, too. I have to wait for the local fresh tomatoes to come in, though. My recipe calls for fresh and tomato juice. And about 8 other veggies. I love the idea of putting avocado on top!
The cardi is a lovely color. Looks like a fun knit.

I love the theme of this post, very creative!

The gazpacho looks delicious! I just made ceviche for Jazzman and it was a wonderful, filling, cool meal for a hot day.

Stay cool while you're knitting!
