Friday Fun

I don't have any knitting to show you because I ripped out the lace scarf yesterday.  Yup. Done.
Undone.  The mistake was bugging me.  Thanks for the permission to rip!

It's Daisy and Coneflower time around these here parts.

Helo and Al. . What can I say?

Working on my Cardi Shrug.  Pictures tomorrow.

It was movie night at Camp HOMEIFYOUCANSTANDIT.
Al made me watch Bridesmaids.  I laughed my butt off.

If this heat keeps up, I know the cure: Go to a Wave Pool.

What's your cure for intense heat?

I still haven't seen Bridesmaids, but I heard it was funny.

It's been way too hot to do anything.

Al is just as cute as she can be. Glad you watched Bridesmaids it is a hoot. As it is pretty freaking hot most of the time here I tend to stay in the air conditioning during the daytime and go out to weed or walk my Max in the evening when it is still freaking hot, but at least the sun is not as intense.
I am off for the week to N.C. where I hear it is 97 degrees. Have a great time the rest of your staycation.
Hugs,
Meredith

I wanna' see that movie. Al is mighty cute!

My cure for intense heat is to stay in the AC, but I'm doing lunch downtown so I'll have to walk outside a few blocks to get to the restaurant...

No slip under a skirt that needs one, but it's too hot.

My cure for intense heat is complete stillness directly under a ceiling fan. For as long as it takes.

I love Bridesmaids!! DD and I watch it over and over.

Al is so cute!! I know how much you are going to miss her. I don't know if I could do it. I would be packed and ready to leave with her, in your place!

Cool is iced tea by our son's pool with the mister going.

Well, living with heat almost year round, I just suffer through. Lots of ice water, I suppose is my balm.

Al and Helo --- cute pic!

Have a great weekend.

Laying on the bed reading in front of the fan. I don't have AC except in the car. It's cooler in the wooded rural, but it's still too hot to do much. The perfect excuse to be lazy and eat ice cream.

To stay somewhat cool, I close all the windows when the temp is still in the 60s, pull the shades and curtains and avoid opening the door so my house will stay a comfortable temperature. I don't have A/C but ceiling fans and closing the house early are successful until the outside temperatures are nearly 100. Then, I go to the library, if it's open.

Very cute photo of Helo and Al! Would you believe our furnace just turned on? Come to Seattle and stay cool.......summer seems to have left us behind.

I don't get the heat like you are experiencing. The one year we did - I hid in the basement, kept the blinds closed and sewed :) Worked like a treat.

Sorry about the lace scarf. Off to read about what Day 4 brought you. g

Thank you for visiting my blog. On really hot days I shut all the shades and turn up the AC. Trick is not to use much heat and still serve a decent home cooked dinner ;-)

I thought Melissa McCarty (Megan) stole the show. At least your guy will watch a gal comedy. Mine took me to see Lincoln Vampire Killer tonight. It was quirky and better than I expected. (But my hopes weren't too high in the first place.)
