Milestone comments, 10,000

This is my great nephew Jaxson wearing the blanket I knit for his big brother 5 years ago. His mom is TERRIFIC at thanking us for hand knits. I think I need to knit him something else soon. His mom is married to my dear nephew Ryan. Her mom, Barb, fought and has beaten ovarian cancer. Yes you read that one right. She had innovative therapy and she's several years out doing great! Their family really knows how to survive a struggle with grace. It is a joy to have them in our lives....and of course, they appreciate knit gifts.
I have to thank you all for comments. I went over 10,000 comments since this little blog began in 2004. I just went over. I will find a prize and award it for this milestone. A thousand, well no, ten thousand thanks.
Speaking of comments, have you been asked to subscribe to my blog?? I am being asked to subscribe to many of your blogs...I read them all daily anyhow, so I don't' think its necessary. I wonder why this is happening all of the sudden this week. Anyone have the answer?
Elaine and Babka are hanging in there. Sometimes I call Elaine, Laney. I'm almost getting confident about their surviving......thanks, keep the wishes/prayers coming. I think they feel it!

What a little doll! Isn't it great to know your handknits are treasured and used?!

Wordpress is ticking me off. It's now emailing me every time someone else comments on a WP blog where I've left a comment. Is this happening to you too?

Wow, that's a whole lot of comments! (I don't even know how to calculate that....) Glad to hear that the kitties seem better and hope it continues.
That little Ryan is a cutie. No wonder you like to knit for him! Good news about Barb also. Ovarian cancer is a tough one.
No, I've not been asked to subscribe to anything but have rec'd the Wordpress emails that someone mentioned.

Half the fun of blogging is getting comments and making new friends. Congratulations on your milestone!

Yes, I've been getting invitations to follow some blogs, but I've ignored them because I read my favorites on Google Reader, which eliminates the need to "follow."

What an adorable baby and a beautiful blanket. I love when people actually handknits rather than saving them as too special.

Congratulations on receiving 10,000 love notes, for that is what they truly are dear Kathyb!!

I know what you mean about the subscribing thing because I've received some of those emails too. The amazing thing is that I have been a subscriber to your blog and others for some time and I'm just now being asked to subscribe. Can Blogger get any more strange?

Hi Kathy, I'm glad you left a comment when you visited my blog a few days ago!! Since you were new to me, that's the only way I knew you were reading! I hope you will come back. I love knowing where my readers are reading from. From someone who doesn't knit at all, your knitting is beautiful!!
