Funny how

the garden centers can come up with something new, like these colorful cages, every year? I wasn't even going to plant tomatoes this year, and these cages have me pondering beefsteak vs. roma....
Why is it- *mischievous little statues are so appealing and so expensive? *if the weatherman promises warmth and it doesn't arrive on a spring day, I'm nearly devastated. *I can knit and knit these shawlettes and not drop a stitch, but if I need to stay on count with a pattern I cannot.
Seems everyone is reading the trashy Shades of Grey book. If it was a yarn color book on shades of grey, I'd already have ordered it...

I haven't seen the colored tomato cages, but they are definitely cute. Since I don't have a garden plot anymore, I will just admire your photo.

I can't do a plain ol'Harlequin, so I'm sure Shades of Gray is out of the question for me.

I want patio tomatoes... the hang upside down kind, so Sissy can't eat them. But the squirrels will, won't they?

Oh those tomatoes cages are so much fun! Need to figure out what food we are planting but I heard a rumor that JB already planted that means we'll have nothing but more radishes than we can use!

The tomato cages are really cute. I wonder if the green ones would make my plants look healthier?

A shades of gray book for yarn would be fantastic! The other one, not so much.

Know exactly what you mean --- I have restarted the Hopscotch sock now 4 times because I missed count somewhere. ARGH! The ribbing part goes just FINE!

Love the colorful cones but the little sprite would scare me every time I came upon him in the garden!

I haven't read the Shades of Grey books but I read the Anne Rice books along the same lines many years ago. I'll pass!

I know... I walk FAST past those colorful things at the garden center before they reach out and grab me. If I slow down, something is coming home with me!

No SHADES OF GRAY reading for me... The little I saw about this on TV I knew it was not something I would ever read. There are lots of good and uplifting things I can read rather than as you said, "trashy" novels.

What festive cages! Now, if they could find a hybrid tomato that was one of these colors, THAT would be exciting!
Love the gargoyle. He would look good in a hand-knit cap in some shade of gray. :)

Just think what fun you'd have dressing that gargoyle up for the different holidays! A family near our DD has a sea gull in their garden that's sporting a Mariner's cap and a very small mitt.

no shades of grey here unless its about redecorating, I haven't read anything but knit lit for almost 3 years.

Buy the tomato cages, and cover with white christmas lights for a great off beat holiday decoration!

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
