Winner Winner Chicken Dinner
Major Jennifer you have won the beautiful Nostepinne from Craftiness.etsy.com. David Lindquist makes beautiful yarn winders. I LOVED your answer to simplifying a complex world.....you have such a good outlook when little inconveniences like losing the electric power, occur.
Although I already have cast on in Happy Feet, my next pair of socks, I think I need some yellow right now. This new yarn is begging me to change my monogoknit ways and cast one today.
Now for the Winner Winner Chicken Dinner information:
We love to grill chicken breasts after they have marinated in ITalian Salad dressing for a bit.
Then we add grilled onions to the breasts while on the grill, after adding our favorite bbq sauce (I'm a KC Masterpiece fan, my men in the house like DAVE's Bbq in ZESTY) . Then we top it with a slice of Colby cheese, and let it melt. Put these cheeseburgers in disguise onto a Hawaiian or pretzel bun and enjoy. Oh are they good! The Claim Company in Chicago made these years ago and we copied their basic idea. We even make these for guests and they are a huge hit.
There's my winner winner Chicken dinner. Do you have one too?

I'm not a fan of chicken, so no great recipes here.
Winner chicken for me is when I poach boneless chicken breasts in water, salt, pepper and a little orange zest the day before, then pull it apart and throw it into the crockpot with all things vegetable. Add some broth kept from the simmering pan the day before, and a cup of brown rice just before eating and we have a super soup!! Dinner for as many as want to drop by and I didn't even have to be home.
Our go-to chicken --- take boneless, skinless breast and sprinkle with taco seasoning. Top with salsa (your choice of heat level). Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. Top with cheese and sour cream --- Taco Chicken!
My newest favorite chicken (and my husband's) is to take a whole bird, cut up a lemon and an onion. Shove the pieces into the cavity with whatever fresh herbs (preferably rosemary/sage) I have, set it in a pan in the oven for about 1 1/2 hours. Yes, I should sprinkle salt and pepper in the cavity before I put in the lemon and onion but I usually realize it after the pieces are in. It is dirt easy and my husband says it tastes as good or better than the rotisere birds we had been buying. And time wsis it is too easy also. I like dinners that let me sit and do something else like knit, read, spin, .... Helen
I just put your taco chicken in the oven. with some adobe peppers on the side...Fireman likes it hot!
THanks for the recipe
and the yellow yarn is bright and springy - knit what makes you happy. g
