A Weekend Off!
I have the weekend off, as a matter of fact I have a few of them off. I may try holiday baking. Remember what I heard about doing something that scares you every day? Well, yesterday that ended with an ER visit....
anyhow baking frightens me. I found this image of cookies on the GOOGLE IMAGE search. THey look very do able....
Is there a cute and easy Holiday cookie recipe you can send along??? I am not into fondant or intricate but lovely icing. I am searching for easy baking....(I had an easy bake oven, did you?)
As for knitting, I am finishing another gift cowl. I think I have enough leftovers from Al's raspberry leggings to make a pretty gift cowl.

Enjoy your weekend off.
so what happened at the ER?
I have others... do you like marshmallows? Candy-cookies?
1# butter
1 cup sugar
3 cups flour
1 tsp vanilla
1 25cent bag of Jay's regular potato chips- 1 1/2 cups.
Cream butter, sugar and flour like you would for a pie shell. Hands work best as it is too thick for the mixer. Add vanilla and mix well. Add the crushed chips and mix well. ( I like to crush them in a zip lok bag and then measure them from that.) Drop by small teaspoon on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 350 degrees in a preheated oven. They will be very light but will have set some.
You will get between 65 and 75 cookies depending on the size. They are rich so we like the smaller size and they do spread when baked.
This was my husband's great grandmother's recipe. Great to have a child, of any age , help with mashing the chips and smooshing up the dough.
Enjoy !

I'm making some type of cheesecake for a work thing on Monday. If you ever need a cheesecake recipe I can help you out. Cookies, not so much.
Good luck tomorrow with the baking. Think how wonderful your house will smell.
