Handknits on a Scary Rope Bridge

Here's Al wearing her handknits as she is held above rushing waters on the Giant's Causeway in Belfast Northern Ireland. She wasn't liknin' the bridge so much. ......
Her strategy was to wait until she had the thing quietly to herself so no one would start jumping up and down and scaring her to death half way crossed! I wouldn't even have crossed it.... no way...no pressure...no how!

I'm looking for a good book for my mom to read. I saw on M's blog Stitches of Violet , that she finished Tess Gerristen's The Silent Girl. My mom likes novels about Irish Family Sagas. Do you know of any? I have to get large print books for her, and that limits things a bit too.

I think I"ll be facing the second fair isle leg warmer for Al tonight ......a girl who comes to a bridge and crosses it deserves leg warmers don't you think???

The last book in the Friday Night Knitting Club takes place in Scotland and the last of the Mitford books by Jan Karon is set in Ireland.

The newest Yarn Harlot book is pretty good too. I'm reading it now and really enjoying it.

Allison was wise to wait until she had the bridge to herself. I don't do well with heights so i would have refused to cross unless I absolutely HAD to do it.

She sure hides her scaredness well; it looks like she's having a grand time. The Tea Rose is the first of a great series of 3 books..don't know if it's available in large print though.

I'm the kind of person that would cross the bridge... and then make up an excuse to go back and do it again! Exciting! :) I don't have a lot of good book recommendations, sorry, but good luck with the warmers! They're definitely deserved!

Look at that Al on a big high bridge! SO brave! Well, the last Irish family saga I read was "Angela's Ashes." I don't know if that helps or not....

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
