It is an Opal yarn with firemen on the label. I think the label is in German. Channon gave it to me in a swap.

Yes I do remember that story!!! The guy would walk around with all the caps on his head!! I think they did a segment on Sesame Street as well.

And the beret is very nice!

I must have read that book a thousand times, between two children and teaching kindergarten/1st grade for 20 years! I LOVE the beret! It makes me wish I lived a little further north where headwear in the winter is actually needed... but then I come back to my senses and say "NO WAY!" I'm not about to go where you have to shovel snow!
