I wear Saucony running shoes with a special insert that keeps me from pronating.

I got the shoes and inserts at Fleet Feet (a local running shop). I have two pair of the Saucony and one pair of New Balance. The NB are for less intense walks.

Come visit. We'll take the Fireman to see our green trucks, the reproduction of the Liberty Bell at City HQ where I spent most of my career, and while we're in town, we'll take you to the best running/walking shoe store in the world...

I'm very New Balance loyal, but it doesn't sound as though our feet are too similar.

I've ust about worn out a pair of Aasic Gels; I'd get them again. BTW I'm trying your bootie with some leftover sock yarn; thanks again for the link!

I'm an Easy Spirit lover. Most of my shoes, both dress and casual/exercise are Easy Spirit! DH wears the Fleet Feet inserts in his New Balance.

There are stores where they let you try on their range of shoes to fit your feet. You walk/run on a treadmill and they assess your gait and find you shoes to fit.

My running shoes are Asics and I much prefer them to Nike or Reebok.

If you have a Roadrunner Sports in your area I would recommend going there. They analyze how you walk/ run and have shoes to match!!!

They did a great job recently for me.
