My dear friend Jennifer gave me four bejeweled votive holders. I think they are the cat's meow. Fireman thinks they are gawdy. What do you think?








I simply adore Natasha Fadeeva's handmade stuffed animals. I would invite these mice in from the cold, but my feline friends would frighten them in short order......

the ads for Crumbs cupcakes. They are new to Chicago. Have you had them? Are they moist???

Another new candle give to me by a friend, that makes a crackling noise when lit. Have you ever?

and finally
my new mattress..........I have had 5 sleeps on it, and I am in love. A Beautyrest....

You write gaudy likes it's a bad thing. Never too much bling for a candle. LOL

I love those WoodWick candles. They smell so good! Much less cloying than a Yankee Candle.

There is a Crumbs near me. LOVE LOVE LOVE THEM!!!!! They are awesome. Expensive, but awesome. The flavors are incredible. They are so big, we only eat them 1/4 at a time, so one cupcakes lasts several days. Yum!

I don't think the candle is gaudy at all but I've been told that I tend to find art in "strange" places. Anyway, I like it! I also love the cute little mousies!! I can just hear your kitties...

A little gaudy is beautiful. Gaudy is only gaudy when there's too much of it.

We need a new mattress badly, but I'm afraid of buying one that we'll regret so we're procrastinating. Glad you like yours.

I love the stitch markers and the little mouse! So cute.
Our bed is getting pretty old and I'd love to try a memory foam mattress, but my husband is convinced that he wouldn't like it.

We have a Crumbs bakery and I have to admit that they are beautiful, sound scrumptious, but seriously lack in the taste department. They try too hard and fall short.

Every Once in a While I Might Post

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. How can I can have one grown child in Oklahoma under flood watch, and One Child in Mexico under hurricane watch?  On the same day.  Tis true.  4. What have I knitted lately?  I am pretty sure I've ripped more than I've knit.  I ripped out a shawl that I was making up.  It was cotton and pretty.  I need to follow a pattern.  5. I was trying to make socks and decided to make mittens instead.  I haven't worked a thumb in a long time.  I may have to frog it too.  So I ha...
