Socks instead

This Opal sock yarn caught my eye yesterday. I just couldn't do another boring hat right now. The colors of this yarn are really pleasing to me. There is one part I cannot figure out however. Amide the golds and beige and black, there are tiny bits of red and green......I'm interested to see how it knits up. I love self patterning sock yarn. It keeps me interested as it knits up.

Did you see if there were samples of completed projects using this colorway on Ravelry? That's usually how I get an idea of how a self-striping yarn will look.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
