My hat is silly, it is just silly

Mayor Daley is forever saying, "It's just silly, silly, it's just silly"

I think my hat is silly. I loved knitting it. The pattern is clever. But on me, it is just silly. When my friend Les put it on, it looked
perfect on her. She has a naturally bigger skull. On my head, it looks like this. Silly just silly.

I used hacho yarn . Doubled the yarn for the rib, then switched to single strand , for the rest of the silly hat. Perhaps the Mayor would like it.

It looks fine in the photo! I've never felt I look good in hats. But it's so cold right now that I might just have to break down and wear one anyway! :)

A great idea--double the ribbing yarn, the part that goes around the ears, and then switch to single strand. I wish I had thought of that technique!! You are so smart and the hat is very pretty on you. I'd say it is a keeper!

Being a little silly at times makes life so much more interesting. Here's to silly!

I also think it looks cute. Let's see a full frontal!

I have all these hats I've knit over the years and wear one every day in this weather when I go out for my 3 mile walk. They tend to pop up on top and make me look truly dorky, but they do keep me warm. And then when I take them off, oh the hat hair!

It looks cute, just cute from the back. Is it really silly from the front? I have a head that not a single had in the world looks good on. That's why you'll hardly ever seen hats on my blog. There is one coming soon though - be prepared for just how awful I can look!!

I always say I never look good in hats, and when people say "You look great! What are you talking about?" I just laugh at them... but here anyway I'm going to say to you-- It doesn't look silly!! I think it looks great! Fun! :)

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
