Kiwi socks

This colorway reminds me of kiwi. I'm still on task....one of the socks is past the gusset, the other is at the pickup stitches after turning the heel phase. Making both on two sets of double points keeps me motivated. I'm a contented knitter today.


This is what I heard today: hand painted yarn is less likely to pool than handdyed yarn. Has this been your experience? The knitpicks podcast host also said that putting a small cable in your socks will keep it from pooling. Hmmmm, Has THIS been your experience?

If you would humor me and tell me the last sock yarn you knit with, I'd be very happy! I want to branch out a bit.

What I am knitting with right now is a wool blend from the Deborah Norville collection. 50% Merino wool, 25% bamboo, 25% nylon. Very soft, but super fine. I'm just now making the heel flap on the first sock. This project is just for me.

The sock that's been on my needles for a long time now :) is from Shibui Knits sock yarn. I really enjoy the yarn!

I just cast on with DIC Smooshy. I haven't really tested those nuggets you tossed out, but I do know the one pair of socks I have in a variegated colorway with a cable has no pooling. Hmmm...

My last socks were done in Malabrigo sock yarn but the pair I'm working on now is Dream In Color Smooshy in a cream color. For some reason I just wanted an almost white pair of socks but I love your kiwi socks! Are you working toe up?

The last socks I knit were in Treadsoft Superwash Merino from Catnip Yarns.

My current socks are Lang JaWoll Superwash.

Love the name KIWI socks. It's perfect for that color.

Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? Every Once in a While I Might Post

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. How can I can have one grown child in Oklahoma under flood watch, and One Child in Mexico under hurricane watch?  On the same day.  Tis true.  4. What have I knitted lately?  I am pretty sure I've ripped more than I've knit.  I ripped out a shawl that I was making up.  It was cotton and pretty.  I need to follow a pattern.  5. I was trying to make socks and decided to make mittens instead.  I haven't worked a thumb in a long time.  I may have to frog it too.  So I have been knitting, but not making things.  6.
