Questions with a blog purpose
(The image has nothing to do with the questions. Just my obsessive need to keep the blog knit centered. This new bag, brought to me from the BIg Island of Hawaii as a gift, has been big and perfect for the growing ruffled shawl.) Please be jealous. Thank you.
I'm deciding on some blog post topics. Help me out if you wish.
QUESTIONS:
Does anyone remember the soap opera, LOVE OF CHAIR?
Is it always a mistake to feed a chipmunk (not by hand of course. This rabies conscious RN is far too much of a worrier for that!)
Do you know who is in First Place?
What is the worst knitting related thing you ever purchased?
Are there hallmark cards for when your child flies the nest and moves out?
Are coconut M and M's made with real coconut inside? I woulndt know or dare to try one. Coconut is the worst texture food I have even eaten. I am not a fan. However, some of my friends love the stuff. I need to know for them.
Have you seen Cavalia?
If Fireman asked you for a birthday list, what knit thing would you ask for?
How many garden gnomes are too many?
Does your dog use a harness?
Has a spider ever bit you on your boobs? Did it turn black and blue?
How many fishing hook injuries have you incurred that required medical attention?
Has anyone ever left a pair of jean inside out on your lawn, near the bushes.....
IF so, is it right to handle them with gloves and burn them?
Who do people tell you that you look like?
What is your preferred beverage/snack to have while knitting? Or is it better to just go to a bar and pick something
different while you knit?
and finally,
is it ever okay to BUY the kind of sweater you wish you had the patience to knit? Because now you know what it would cost in materials to make it anyhow.....
Hope to hear from you!!!!
I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

The worst knitting thing I ever purchased was acrylic chenille on a nylon filament. horrible horrible stuff
Gnomes scare me
Once upon a time I used a harness on my dogs, but it didn't help.
Never bitten by a spider or anything else on either boob, unless some dorky person I could call a boob was bitten by a spider and turned black and blue
Scotch and dark chocolate, good for anytime
I have no problem buying sweaters as long as they don't itch me
Never seen coconut M&M's but I love coconut.
Do you really need a mannequin? Do you have a swift, ball winder, etc?
Never had a fish hook injury.
No one has ever left clothes on the yard but they did steal some off the clothesline.
They used to say I looked like my mom until I gained all this weight.
No preferred beverage or snack.
Yes it's okay to buy. No one ever said you had to knit everything. What would be the point?
Love of Chair? Sorry, don't know it.
We don't have chipmunks here, but when I was young I used to feed squirrels peanuts by hand. Looking back I think it was a bad idea.
I'm keeping track of NL East. My team is 7 games back, but only 3 games out of the Wild Card.
Worst knitting related thing: I didn't like Addi Turbo Needles when I first used them--too slippery. I still prefer bamboo or wood.
There is probably a Hallmark card for every occasion.
Never heard of coconut M&Ms. But I do like coconut.
Have not seen Cavalia.
If you don't have a ball winder or swift, ask for one of those.
Our neighbor has well over 30 garden statues in her front yard. That's too many.
Our dogs run free in the backyard. No need for harness or leash.
Never had a spider bite.
I've never been hooked or hooked anyone...yet. John did whiz his lure right by my head the other day. I felt the breeze and cringed.
Discarded jeans, inside out, by a bush is a very bad thing. I would lift them with a very long pole and put them in the trash.
When Bill Clinton was president, I used to be told I look like Hillary. I don't get that anymore, though.
I'm partial to cream soda.
I always check the sweater racks at the end of the season. I've bought some very well made sweaters in natural fibers for $10 and $20. I'm not going to pass that up!
How about: If your child moves out should you keep his/her room intact or can you repurpose it as a knitting room?
... Would YIPPEEEEEEEE or CONGRATULATIONS cards cover it?? Can you tell we're in the midst of our very wet summer school holidays;o)
And the bag ... I'm jealous! It's just perfect for the job.
Tea is my favorite beverage, no matter what I'm doing. Hot tea even on most hot days, though Iced Tea (brewed, of course) is an acceptable substitute. Actually , Tea is my favorite food, second is good organic ice cream. Ice cream does not make good company for knitting, though.
I buy sweaters all the time. I'm a big fan of resale shops, and there's no way I can knit a sweater for $10 or less and be sure it will fit, to boot.
I'm all about knitting things I can *not* find in a store. Like socks in the right size/color/fiber. Like wool legwarmers/handwarmers even when they are uncool in the media.
I've knit only one long-sleeved sweater and one short-sleeved sweater. Period. Those were the ones I just could not find in any store at any price, they filled needs I could not fill elsewhere.
The concept of First Place does not register in my psyche. I guess I'm first place at being LynnH, but then there is no contest. I am just not competitive. I'm sure it's because I was so small as a kid that I couldn't compete in sports at all, without embarrassing myself.
4 garden gnomes are too many.
And, by the way, we found a pair of my HUSBAND'S jeans out behind the house, inside out, after our house was broken into!
I love coconut...in pies and cakes.
I have an old garden gnome...the old-fashioned kind. A generous gift from my mother's garden. I place him proudly under my largest hosta closest to the neighbor's garden, because even one gnome is too many.
Spider bite on boob--YES. It ended up causing a big infection that took weeks to heal. I thought it would never stop draining. Always check with your doctor, though, because inflammatory breast cancer starts with a nasty open sore.
