Pretend Friends Knit Together

I found the perfect spot for us to knit together. See us? We are on Lake Geneva in WIsconsin. There really is some knitting going on amid al the laughter you can obviously see.

We tooled around the lake for awhile too and we all adored the mansions. I'm really sorry that all I kept saying was: Nice but thats alot of yarn....

I say that about lots of things I see for sale. For instance we still have the same blender we got as a shower gift in 1982. While trying to make strawberry daiquiri's the other night, I considered getting a new one that would actually crush the ice. Priced them the next day, and thought: I could buy yarn with that money instead.....

I am working on my second shawl and it is making me so happy to knit it. I have 8 inches knit........63 left to go.......
and that doesn't bother me at all for some reason.

WHat doesn't bother you at all for some reason????
I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

I'll take the blue chair and a margarita with an umbrella.

Since the blue chair is taken, I'll take the red one. I can hear the loons from here. Sigh!

You are so good--making the yarn choice over new appliances. We have to buy a new dryer. Guess what that will do to my yarn buying for a long while!!

What doesn't bother me? For some reason I am not bothered at all to be home and no longer on vacation! Maybe I'm getting old and just prefer home where the knitting is easy.

Love where we are knitting. I had to laugh at your blender. I got mine as a wedding gift (first time) in 1969 and it just died last winter. What doesn't bother me--not having a blender. I haven't replaced it yet.

What doesn't bother me? I'm knitting a baby blanket (entrelac) for a friend who is expecting a baby girl in a month. I'm using baby weight yarn, and this blanket will be something this child can use for several years.......it's taking me about an hour per block! 10 blocks across....800 stitches per block, using size 2 needles.

I probably should have done the math in advance, but oh well, it doesn't bother me. :) LOL!

Lovely! Save me a chair and a marguerita. And I know what you mean about "that's a lot of yarn..."
