Lurker Diane is knitting a Jojoland Swirl Scarf

Arenn't they lovely? Diane, the lurker, mentioned she is knitting this for her daughter. In passing. LIke it was nothing. She is an amazing nurse, dear friend and terrific knitter. Am I late to the party, again, or is this a newer pattern?

For some reason VERENA Europe's top knitting mag was on my Walgreen's news/magazine stand today. Funny I like their patterns better than Interweaves lately. Sometimes Interweave is too far from what I'd ever wear to offset the price of the magazine. Lots of lace in the issue I picked up. I'll just stick to my easy lace pattern when I get back to knitting, but I can dream of course.

IF you couldn't this week, what would you do?????

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Lovely scarves. I haven't seen this pattern before. I love the colors - especially the purply/green ones. I wish my laundry looked like that.

LOL! I agree with Jennifer!
That's a new pattern to me, too. If I couldn't knit, I would probably watch baseball (I'm just as excited for the season to begin as you are), go fishing with my husband, read a good book or go for a walk on the beach.

Good God, so many swirl scarves in one place! This is a pattern I would knit only once in my lifetime! They look gorgeous!

I've never seen that pattern before and it's beautiful. Looks difficult though and with my lace issues I don't know if I would try it.

If I couldn't knit I would read knitting books and plan for what to knit when I can. I guess that means I would still be consumed by knitting.

If I couldn't knit I just wouldn't get out of bed, no I would read about knitting fiction and non and spend more time on the computer I have to find out more about the scarf!

Cool pattern, I haven't seen it before, but I'm not perusing the blogs the way I used to either, so I'm not up with what's hip these days =)

LOVE the rabbit photo! too cute

I picked this kit up at Stitches in Schaumburg last August. I am not real good at DPN's and therefore I haven't really done anything with this scarf. I guess I'll just have to really look at the instructions and give it a try.

Help I've tried to knit this 10 times--I get through the first hex fine then forget it, it's over. It seems like everyone who has made it took a class or something.
