Felted Noro Swing Coat or Turncoat to Vest

This is the best I can do for an image this morning. Suffice to say that my dear Sonny at the cleaners tailored the swing coat with the arms I cut off, and it is now a usable, cut vest. It makes me ridiculously happy that I didnt' waste all my time, energy and MONEY on the swing coat. It just took me a while to figure out how to rescue it. From myself!

I'm taking a little car trip today. My buddy Huck is coming along. I'm a bit of a nervous nellie on the expressway, I know I have to grow up before I am a senior citizen!. So think of me please. I would do fine on the expressways if they couldn't have any trucks on them. I wish they were boulevards! Lake Shore Drive is my favorite road b/c no trucks are allowed. Do you have a no truck zone you love?

I didn't know that no trucks were allowed on Lake Shore Drive.

Do you remember that song called Lake Shore Drive. It's a cool song and pretty obscure.

A semi pulled out of a residential neighborhood the other day and I gasped at the wrong-ness of it.

Very cool swing coat. Good luck driving. I just don't like driving at night anymore!

I-580 through Oakland is closed to trucks unless there's a big accident or delay on the other freeways. It's so much better than the alternative routes!

Love the vest! Great colors. My sentiments too about the expressway and the trucks. Hope your trip was fun...and good for you for being brave!

Love the vest! That was a great save and the colors are gorgeous. My thoughts are with you and Huck. I too hate driving the expressway and I don't think there are any "no truck" roads in Texas. Trucks are a way of life here.

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
