Interview

Ann Norlings twisted rib hat in celery. Easy peasy and fun. I am an Ann fan are you? I love the way she gives lots of instructions for all differnt sizes. Real bang for your buck. I'm going to have to find more patterns like this. Does anyone else write patterns this way that you know of?

Interview with Fireman:

Kathy b: What is your favorite thing about my knitting?

Fireman: (laughs) It relaxes you.

Kathy b.: What is your least favorite thing about my knitting?

Fireman: The space it takes up in our already too small family room.

Kathy b: What is something i have knitted, that you recall as good?

Fireman: I dont know. (long pause) Probably your cranberrish sweater.
(Knitting Pure and Simple Raglan)

Interview interrupted as Fireman reads aloud blood doping article he is reading re: cyclist.

Kathy B: Do you think knitters have an expensive hobby?

Fireman: No more than any other.

Kathy B: How much was your last bike?

Fireman: (Laugh) Two thousand dollars.

Kathy B.: Do you have a bike stash?

Fireman: Not purposely.

Kathy B: Have I ever embarassed you, knitting in public.

Fireman: Nah. Just used to it.

Kathy B: Have you ever had a patient who's knitting was all over their home?

Fireman: (laughs) No. They aren't as cool as you, I guess.

Kathy B: Do you know my favorite kind of yarn?

Fireman: MMMMMMMM. Noro. I dont know.

Kathy B: Good guess. (Correct answer: angora)

Kathy B: Can you name another blog?

Fireman: Pioneer Woman.

Kathy b: Good answer.
Now, do you mind my wanting to stop at knit shops whereever we go?

Fireman: No! As long as it is next to a bike shop.

Kathy B: Do you understand the importance of a swatch?

Fieman: To make sure your measurements are correct right? It is like a practice thing? Right?

Kathy B: Do you read Irisheyes?

Fireman: Yeah. But I cant get on it at work anymore. It comes up blocked.

Kathy B; Have you ever left a comment?

Fireman: ........mmm No. Or have I ? I don't think I have.

(he hasnt)

Kathy B: Do you the house would be cleaner if I didnt knit?

Fireman: Would you stop it. (Keeps cleaning stovetop and putting dishes away)

Kathy B: Thank you for this insightful interview. Would you like to add anything in closure?

Fireman: Yes.
Answer is not appropriate for Jill who reads the blog . Fireman is "Still a guy" as Brad Paisely says.

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Love the interview-my ex had a bike stash of sorts-had three which I kept falling over. They were necessary for different types of terrain and times of year! At least my stash didn't take skin of your shins
Great interview! I'm quite impressed that he knew that much about swatching.

Hehe! What a cute idea. Fireman is obviously used to the ways of knitters by now. ^_^

Funny! I love your interview. I don't think my husband would even know what a swatch is ;) Cute hate, too. Love the color.

LOL! What a hoot. BF's hobbies are SOOOOOoooooo much more expensive than mine. I feel totally justified in my knitting addiction.

I wonder if there's a knitting blog out there written by a female fire fighter? Hmmmmmmmm.

What a great interview. I wonder how Pea would answer those questions. I may have to "borrow" this idea. :)

I've never knit an Ann Norling pattern, so now you have my curiosity peaked.

Cute interview. I can't wait to ask my husband these questions. I don't think he's quite up to par with your hubby .... yet.

Love the interview. My Fireman said to me yesterday, "Hey Mom, do you have any more of that black yarn. I've worn holes in the fingerless gloves you knit for me. I could use some more." Of course I have more black yarn!!

Does your Fireman wear the fingerless gloves on duty?
