Over the Moon

I'm over the moon about my knitting life. It is just so fun to me. Knitting for a passion, makes it easy for my family to know what I like for all the special days when a gift might be given. We are spoiled silly, I think, with our yarn choices and colorways and tutorials on how to color our own yarn. Blog posts showing projects in all stages abound. Contests, knit togethers, swaps, and get aways are at our fingertips.

Aside from all that, just sitting down to knit by myself is a great gift that I can have almost everyday.

It is fireman's birthday today. It is the second warmest day of the year, here, in Chicago. The flowering trees are full in bloom and the bulbs are showing off. Maybe we'll even have a campfire tonight and listen to the Cubs....

Hope you are having a great day yourself.

I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Hear! Hear! It's wonderful to be passionate about something - that's for sure.
Happy birthday to your fireman, sounds like you have a lovely evening planned.

Hope the evening goes well. Thanks for link for tissue holder pattern. Got it. I'm madly doing tea cosies from a vintage pattern given to me by an elderly neighbour. I had been looking for a cosy for my little Brown Betty a small two cup teapot and this pattern is just great.

It is a gift, isn't it? Even last night, as I frogged something for the second time and had to dig out the instructions for a provisional cast-on again since I didn't remember how to do it after the first 2 times, I still felt wonderful about it.

All Firemen deserve the happiest of birthdays. They are the true heroes!

Knitting by a campfire while listening to the Cubs sounds great! I have just discovered that I prefer knitting to music rather than TV. It's energizing!

I didn't see your comment on my blog until today--thanks for checking out my blog! I agree that it's a blessing to have so much creative inspiration and interaction at your fingertips. For me, however, it can also be a curse--I can spend hours perusing the web for new patterns and ideas!

Congrats to Fireman :-) At the moment my knitting is a bit reduced... it is pretty warm at the moment and my yarn eater is a little moody (big bobble in his mouth...molar coming)

Happy Birthday to the fireman!

I've never knit by moonlight! You've inspired to try something new.
Very nice picture! I hope that you enjoyed the nice day...before you are overcome by the hot Chicago summer. :-)
