How many handknits does it take to catch a fish?

Well, let's see:

Malabrigo felted hat
koigu fingerless
malabrigo cowl
(under jacket) Alpaca zip vest.

4 handknits. One Nice Northern Pike, and one (not shown) 17 inch large mouth bass.

No Knitters were harmed in the days activities.

Do you love the great outdoors? Do you knit in the great outdoors?
I'll talk to you in the comments. :)

Love the fish! What a catch!

I love the great outdoors. I love to knit, and I love to view the great outdoors while knitting--say, from my deck, with a glass of wine...
That's about 2 handknit items per fish, not a bad average.

That is one great catch! Did you knit the fish net too??? ;) Great knit accessories... I am going to have to make a cowl - it looks so cozy!

I think yoel may have something... "patterns from nature"! :)

Did you keep it or throw it back?

Deb

Catch and release of course! I got to put them both back in the water and see them swim happily off.

Is that a knitted fish?????

No, it is not a knitted fishy. It is a real fishy. With real teeth. I had to hold him by his gills. Ewwww. But I did it.

Excellent! Did you knit in the boat or just wear knits in the boat? I always take a sock to work on when we go out in the canoe. Superwash. Just in case.
Great photo! That fish is amazing also ... and would make a great pattern. Socks maybe?
