The sister loves her vest.

Well, she looks great in it, doesn't she? She was thrilled with how the colors complimented her red hair. Wow, is that the vest I knit?

This half Hungarian sister is also....well, half-irish. Looks just like my mother. Born the day after my mom lost her dad. Genes are really really incredible. I get to see this in my work. Powerful things. She's the only one of us with red hair.

When she visited over the Thanksgiving holidays she mentioned that now that she is back in the Midwest, she notices how we end our sentences with prepositions. We do? I am probably the worst at this. I guess I'm am not such a language snob after all, eh? I am well aware that my English teachers would cringe at my writing habits. I prefer to think of the blog as a dialogue with you. So I write as I speak, sort of. Heee hee heeee. This means I am really choosing to use share our vernacular in this little blog. So there. It is what the blog is made of......Sorry Sister Catherine Madigan.

I don't think that you could have picked a better color. She looks beautiful! I can totally relate to the "family" language. My brother and I recently discovered that we end almost every phone call by saying "I love you" and then making a weird "well, I better...umm...OK" awkward hangup. My Mom does the exact same thing. Makes me laugh. :-)

Wow! The vest looks fabulous! Thanks for sharing a picture of your sister modeling it! It really does complement her hair so nicely!

I am half Irish, too - my hubby is 100% (both parents were born there)... so my kids are more Irish than I am! :)

Hya. I hope you don't mind me butting in. I love the picture of your latest knit. I came across your blog while accessing the one seam teddy bear pattern from ax174.I have a query with the pattern and I understand now that she is no longer blogging. Her father passed away suddenly earlier this year. Anyway I am reading the pattern and although I am British I have managed to find a website with relevant abbreviations on except for slm. I just can't work that out. I know you knitted the teddy bear and he was so cute so I hope you can help. I am based in the South West of England. I know it is taking a liberty and a bit of a long shot but maybe you can help. All the best. Merry

I think it is fine to write the way you do. It shows your personality. The cardigan looks nice on your sister.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one that writes like I speak. Actually, I don't speak too well either...so what's a gal to do??? Hope someone understands my blog-notes! I understand yours just fine...really enjoy it actually!

Don't you love it when the yarn & project come together beautifully and compliment the receiver. Fantastic!! I bet she love it and wears it all the time. She'll be sad when summer rolls around.
