Your cactus is beautiful (my mom always had goodluck with hers blooming...sometimes it was an Easter Cactus though). The sock looks great! I hope you and yours have a safe, wonderful Thanksgiving.

Ours is loaded with blooms. Last time though, it fooled us and dropped every last one after it opened the first two. We were very upset. So we told it we weren't going to water it or love it or bring it in from the cold. This year it is beautiful and has the largest blooms ever! :P

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. (just another baby legging in the image. Using my socks yarns a little differently) I think that blogger may not have correctly counted all the posts I've written. I've been posting since 2004 so I guess it is possible. I'm not going to go back and count them all. It says this is post 987. So we'll go with it. Im having a little contest for the milestone, but I have had writer's block since I decided on the 1000th post contest. So to take the pressure off, we are just going to do this now. :) I get crazy with pressure around events of all kinds. I just do. Cookie Sheet Blanket Contest .....

This is a call for knitters to knit a baby blanket no bigger than a cookie sheet. Blankets will be distributed in the NICU where I work. We just don't get many blankets. We need them. Traditional baby colors will do, but we'd love you to branch out a bit. Use up those leftovers if you wish. You could win a lovely prize. All who send a blanket by November 1st, ALL SAINTS DAY, you angels you, will be entered in the drawing. Here are the rules: Blanket must be made of yarn which is washable. Sorry, Hospital rules. It cannot be bigger than a cookie sheet. Smaller is welcome also. That's it. Those are the rules. I'll post the prize by next week.
