Risking Life and Limb

This liberticious (I made that up) man was nearly the subject of a Guest Blogger post. On our way to Marengo, (Lynn drove) we pulled up at a stop next to the tax reminder man. If only I had time to toss him a ball of yarn....
however to do so would have infuriated the traffic behind us. I will stop at something, you see.

While we are on the safety subject. Have you heard the saying: Pull to the Right for Sirens and Lights? Another ambulance got hit by a car in a nearby community this week during some snowy weather. This is every fireman's nightmare.
So pass it on. Pull to the RIght for Sirens and lights. THis means, if you are in the left lane, and all the cars next to you are in the right lane pulled over, KEEP DRIVING with the ambulance behind you, until you have the opportunity to pull right. Dont just stop in the left lane. It is simple, but even I freeze up when the trucks are coming and Im driving with them behind me. Oh, Im soapboxing now. Not really, am I? Just trying to make some sense of it for others.

And whichever way your taxes went, remember it is just money. You can make more tomorrow. (and then by more yarn)

Great little rhyme and great Public Service Announcement. My dad drives an ambulance, and it's true - not everyone pulls aside like they should.

That was one of the first things I taught Mandy when she first starting driving last year. We had to file an extension so I still don't know if we get money back or not (keeping my fingers crossed for the positive...the government gets enough of our $$$).

Every Once in a While I Might Post

 Is that vague enough for you?  It has been a too busy complicated Spring.  I had no energy to blog.  All is well now, so I can share some things with you:   1. When I shoot photos of the moon I think of Dear Teresa.  Gone too soon. She took fabulous moon pictures.  2. I did not see one shooting star last night.  I only got up for a few moments around 3 a.m.  The local weather guy said he saw a few quick faint ones.   3. How can I can have one grown child in Oklahoma under flood watch, and One Child in Mexico under hurricane watch?  On the same day.  Tis true.  4. What have I knitted lately?  I am pretty sure I've ripped more than I've knit.  I ripped out a shawl that I was making up.  It was cotton and pretty.  I need to follow a pattern.  5. Dear buddy nurse and spay neuter pal Linda, came to visit yesterday.  We knitted. We laughed.  We shared books we are reading. She Showed me her scarf.  It looks like a shawl but it is a scarf. Here is her yarn choice. And the( OUCH) price.   It makes her happy to knit.  If Linda's happy I'm happy.  I dont' know the pattern and neither does she.  Her dog literally shredded her pattern.  She was at a point where she had memorized the easy part and she's nearly finished.  So there you go, anyone know the pattern? You are all so sweet about the move and the house.
